Where: my house (if you don't know/can't remember where I live just call/text me at 505-270-1131)

Time: starts at 1:00 pm
ends whenever

feel free to stay as late as you want

If you want to sleepover let me know ahead of time

Setups: Right now I have one complete set up and a tv. If anyone can bring setups please do and let me know. More setups=win.

And for those of you who are worried there stuff might get stolen/damaged: Don't worry, if anyone lays a hand on your wii and/or brawl one of three things will happen.

1. I'll personally beat the s*** out of them.
2. They get kicked in the balls or everyone gets to punch them in the gut (Kash's original idea).
3. I have three very nice dogs (but they can be mean if I want them to).

P.S. NO NOOBS ALLOWED!

The purpose of this smashfest is to welcome Everett (Sinz) back into NM (he's been in Hawaii for over 20 days!) and too improve our overall skill.

Food: Don't worry, I'll have snacks and drinks ready for you guys to devour. But if none of that is substantial enough there are plenty of food places within close distance of my house.

Hmm. Sounds awesome Paul. One thing, though.

If it is on Friday I doubt I will be able to go, and if I do, I'll only be there for a few hours. I'm leaving with some friends to go to a cabin in the woods around 6. If your house is on the way I might go.

If it is on Saturday I'd probably be more likely to go, but I may not get there until later (maybe 6 or so) and I might be hung over.

Your choice. Either way I'm kind of screwed.

I'd rather hold it on Friday because then people can stay later if they want to or sleepover. Since the next day is going to be a saturday people can stay later. After all, some of us have stuff to devote to on Sunday (church, religious activities, etc).

Besides, I don't think I want you showing up hungover at my house. I am strictly against alcohol and drugs.

Don't worry, I have plenty of room to put any set-ups. I have room for about seven; but four-five should be good enough.

Right now, we have about three set-ups and one tv assuming Zack brings one.

Feel free to tell other smashers about this fest. I don't have everyone's number plus not every smasher is active on smashboards anyway.

Hay guize:

We need Wiis and TVs. If you can bring either, we'll give you a discount. If you do bring a TV, try to not make it one of those super small ones, as we can only use those for friendlies, in all likelyhood. The Wiis don't need everything unlocked, as they recently figured out how to transfer Brawl save files.

Anyone that has an n64 with a copy of SSB64 and everything unlocked also wins my heart.

Oh and something I was talking to Kash about that you guys might be interested in. As you may or may not know David and I teach self defense alongside basic grappling boxing and kicking techniques. If you want to learn how to defend yourself better (should you not be able to outrun them Erich) or just how to have the advantage next time you're wrestling friends, just ask us and we'll gladly teach you guys some nice tricks :D

EDIT: oh and for some reason I picture Kash as the revengeful drunk. I can see him drunk and wanting to box me to get his revenge on Taj (only to lose even worse )

I think that most of us qualify into the good players category when were playing smart. But we all learn from our mistakes. I want us to get better. I really do. I want us to make New Mexico one of the most competitive states for smash. We need to have the best players.

Actually, I'm a rather humble and silly drunk. I remember 99% of everything that happened, I never over drink, and I have enough will power to control and manage myself.

I have a friend that is an aggressive drunk... though I don't think I'm ever going to drink again, if I do it won't be around him. God he's an ***.

Anywho, moving on to the topic at hand. Sorry I couldn't come to the Smashfest. I also was right by your house and was thinking about giving you a shout out to see if I could come over and Smash, Paul, but I decided not to.

I'm also sorry about my abscense on the boards the last few days. Between work and my girlfriend and the Spore Creature Creator (el oh el) I've been pretty busy. Really, really sorry. I'm going to finalize plans with Keith tomorrow and make a thread.

EDIT: Also, just to let you know Neil... I just cooked and ate two packages of bacon by myself (mostly). Man it was good.

So, my Dad confirmed us going to Colorado on the 8th of august, and coming back on the 10th, he got work off all of those days and has his schedule clear. We will be staying with family of mine.

I have 7 places. So far i know that me, Erich, and Paul are going. Leaving 4 spots.

2. We will be splitting the costs.
3. Be nice to my Dad, he is being nice for this.

Okay, NM, time for a grammar lesson:

Your is a possessive modifier. You're is a contraction.

Examples:

Your dad is going to take us again, Everett?

If you were to put "You're dad is going to take us again, Everett?" it would read as "You are dad is going to take us again, Everett?". Doesn't make much sense, does it?

Conversely, you should never phrase something as follows:

Your coming to hang out with us tonight, right?

It should read "You're coming to hang out with us tonight, right?", or, "You are coming to hang out with us tonight, right?". If you put "your" instead of "you're", you are indicating possesion of something.

I've seen Everett confusing "your" and "you're" for a while now, but I thought it was just poor grammar on his part. Seeing Erich do the same thing broke my heart and soul, and merited this little rant/lesson.

I've had a ****ty day at work and a pretty annoying day all around. I don't work until 6 tomorrow so I'll do it before then but right now I'm pissed and don't want to talk to a God **** soul. I'm sorry for lieing. I'll do it tomorrow.

Fudge the play n trade. Those bums promised me a free paid copy of brawl after I won the last melee tourney they had in farmington. When I went to pick it up when it was released and they said I did not win a tourney. I flipped out. They denied the tourney ever happened! I worked for them when Dr. Chang owned the company, but some sobs from las vegas own them now. and those new owners were the ones who screwed me over. I would not do business with them. I promise you it will not end up well for us.

I even tried sueing them but the case would have been "trivial" considering it was a 50 dollar game. I wanted to sue them because of principles. You cannot steal from people and get away with it.

I do not know if they own all the PLay n Trades in NM. But they do own the ones in Las Vegas (NM) and farmington.
