Look, a perfect reference to use for Medli's stunned animation. Why am I such a sucker for cute characters?

God, I was so depressed when I realized that Vaati wasn't eligible for PM. He would have been an automatic +1 for me.

Wait, the purple wizard guy from 4 swords??

That would be daaamn cool. o.O making a moveset around wind/darkness sounds great.. how come he's not viable? player support? modeling?

I remember playing through that area with her. Wind Waker is quite a gem in the Zelda series, so I do believe the toon portion does deserve another character. On that note...

I've spoken about ONE dixie kong ability, her supposed grab. and you go off about lucario's counter, compare it to 3 other characters, AND his system. P:M Luke clearly is EV'd for Attack, though. Maybe he has Nasty Plot instead of Swords Dance for situational Special Defense nuking, he does randomly fire off super big Aura Spheres.

Unfortunately, I stopped playing Pokemon at Gen 4. I couldn't get myself to continue liking the series further. I do often enjoy the Smash incarnations of characters and watching people come up with sick tactics, but as far as my relationship with that series goes, I'm done.

Though that Shinmegami Tensei X Fire Emblem is sounding rather delicious.

Reminds me... a little off topic but when I was attending the last GamesClucks there was a Pokemon event going on and I had my 3DS for the bus ride. I accepted a friendly for the heck of it and I somehow was able to pull out victorious. Gen V bulky Gyarados is still a threat it seems lol.

I guess expressing a deep desire to not see dixie kong here could be seen as disrespectful to those who have an opposing opinion, but I doubt it's so serious that you feel the need to act like some kinda forum MOD dealing swift judgement to me for my forum sins. There is nothing high and mighty about how I'm acting. You just clearly need to work on your debut skills a lot more, as well as read up on your vocabulary. Your argument makes no sense, you change your argument so you don't look foolish, and nothing you say is going to convince anyone else otherwise. To wrap this up, If you look through this thread and look at every downvoter Dixie has, you won't see a single post from me attacking that person for doing so. It is obvious that your Anti-Dixie posts that are invoking others frustration towards you. You are crossing the line between having an opinion, and flat out stepping on others opinions. Understand when you are wrong and apologize when you are.

Really? Personally I'd go with Mt. Itoi or Magicant, they're the two most iconic Mother 1 locations.

Maybe the stage itself could be just a regular forest, with a river in the background. In the background you could see Captain Syrup's S.S. Teapot ship. The foreground could have some hollowed out tree trunks with some enemy block sprites from Wario's Woods in them, too.

This way the stage could reference both games (Wario's Woods and Wario Land, specifically 2, as after the forest levels you could see the ship taking off in a nearby river iirc).

And likely references to a lot of the forgotten villains of that game, alongside a Birdo appearance (since Birdo was a villain of that game and a villain of Toad's first playable appearance).

There are no initial requirements. We just discuss what we wish to see of the characters here and if something catches people's attention, they usually vote on it. It is more of a case of showing how a character would be fun to play in the Project M format. But with that also comes the difficulty of mod programming.

You have to consider the amount of time and polish PMBR has to put into each character they decide to add, assuming they do add another character. Characters are voted on based on desirability and creation difficulty. The reason for this is because the PMBR makes almost everything from scratch so they can make the character the best they possibly can, but no matter what the character has to be ported over a clone of an existing character. If a character has a complex moveset, it will take the PMBR much longer to create the character, as Roy took them somewhere around...700 hours?

This is also why we are limited to 5 votes, because we are only capable of having 5 more characters in PMBR's clone engine (unless things have changed recently, but I highly doubt it). The reason being is that there are 7 slots, 2 of which are occupied by Mewtwo and Roy, that were left blank in Brawl's code where Sakurai had originally planned on adding 7 more characters. Due to time constraints, these slots were left empty with only a few tid bits of data on the characters intended for those slots.

These 5 votes are to signify who we most want to see fill those 5 slots, and the half-votes are characters we would be pleased with seeing if any of our top 5 does not make the cut.

It is not a matter of just popularity. A lot of people take into consideration things like amount of appearances, impact on the series, seniority, worth, and as I stated above, programming difficulty.

Gosh! What you said is great! That means that some 1/2 voted characters could appear in PM! Because there is one main character from a series, a popular character and a female that is in 1/2 category: DIXIE KONG!
And it could be easier for the PM Team to do it, since she could have some moves from Diddy
The other character I absolutely want is Isaac from Golden Sun, because I love this beautiful unrepresented series!

I agree with this, but the icing on the cake for me would be a Ray MK III as a Custom Robo rep. That series has lived through 3 Japanese-exclusive titles and 2 international releases. I love the series to death.

Yeah it could be cool! I'm not a pro with the Custom Robo series but I find that Ray MK III is a great character that could be on Smash as a playable one!
I don't know if he is really popular however... So IDK if it will be in! Isaac surely will IF he's not on SSB4. For Dixie it's not sure, because she's not much high on this classement (why?). But I really hope she will!

In my opinon, with Toon Link being in Smash already, adding in Toon Zelda (not Tetra) would be an odd way of representing the Zelda series.
