Can I just say, I would already be in support of Medli if it weren't for the fact that there are so many important Zelda side characters to take into consideration. It seems like picking one in particular to support would diminish the value of another, and almost... fanboyish? if that one character comes from a single Zelda game. I mean, I love Windwaker so of course I'd support Medli, but what about Midna or Skull Kid or Maple or Tingle or Impa or Nayru or Din or Farore or Hero’s Shade or Tetra or Beast Ganon or King of the Red Lions or Agahnim or Zant or Linebeck, etc.
What about ineligible characters according to P:M rules? I'd support the hell out Vaati or Hilda or Ravio or whomever else if I could, but it doesn't work like that. Obviously some characters are better choices than others, but picking just one seems like it needs more proper, in-depth discussion before people keep throwing out votes like nothing.

No, of course not. My point is that we shouldn't be jumping on the bandwagon immediately when a new Zelda character (or any character for that matter) is brought up, otherwise what's the point of the voting system? As a collective we need to discuss these characters in-depth before we all start fan-gasming all over the place.

Ray has been a much more popular character as of recent, but the only way to expect a character will appear is to support that character. As I've said many times before, the characters on the intro page are not the only plausible characters. They are just the frequently requested characters. Sometime in October or November, Ray's support shot up when he was brought back into discussion. He has yet to be added to the intro page, and I do believe that has a little to do with why he isn't getting as many votes as other characters. That is not to say it isn't the only reason though.
Isaac is a shoo in. Something in my gut doubts we will see him in Smash 4. Probably because of Shulk from Xenoblade has a better chance than he does at this point.
Dixie...It is really hard to say. I love Dixie and wouldn't mind seeing her appear in either Project M or Smash 4. I just hope she doesn't end up an Assist Trophy like Waluigi, Skull Kid, and Ashley.

To be fair, there was a decent discussion that took place. And my half vote was for a Medli + Makar duo character, if possible. The characters are incarnations to, what has became, a staple in the Zelda series. The Six Sages. So honestly that does give them some priority over one-off villains. Though I would immediately put their importance after characters like Skull Kid, Vaati, The King of Hyrule, Impa, and Tetra.
Also, the half-votes should represent what characters we are okay with seeing. I'm not really too opposed to many of the suggestions that have been made in regards to Nintendo characters. Part of me does want to see another "Toon LoZ" character though to package with Toon Link. Unfortunately it won't be Vaati.

Full support for holloseum if Ray were to make the cut.But how would they make that work? Seems like most of it's appeal comes from it being a 3d maneuverable area..

I'm sorry I can't. There are so many other characters who could better rep the series, Telda, Tetra, Skull Kid, The King, Tingle, etc. Medlii just isn't worth it. I understand why people want to see her, I just can't get behind it.

Man, I'm a huge fan of the Sonic series and characters like Shadow. You can even check page 1 to see that I gave Shadow one of my +1 votes. I've play nearly every game to date. And let me tell you. Shadow the Hedgehog was NOT a good game. It took what was "okay" about Sonic Heroes and made it considerably worse. Add to that the mild language, pure angst, pointless vehicles, pointless guns, awkward Chaos Power mechanics, weak mission objectives, poor AI programming, terrible backstory, and this thing pretty much drives the nails into its own coffin. It doesn't help that Sonic 06 came along shortly after to pour salt in the open wound that Shadow the Hedgehog was.
I can see it working as just a flat stage with walls and platforms.
The most obvious stage choice for Shadow is the Space Colony Ark for sure. I wouldn't put any other stage before it. But Shadow's chances of winning THIS poll are impossible.
At least you are being respectful about your downvote. I also don't blame you. I couldn't personally get behind Condor or The King. Though I'm indifferent towards both.

As much as I enjoy fighting things as shadow (sonic battle, what're you S tier in that game?XD) i agree, he's bottom of the barrel for choices..x.x

Emerl was the God Tier character in Battle, but I don't think Shadow was even in the upper tiers. Characters like Tails, Cream, Rouge, and Chaos Gamma all had some of the most useful abilities in the game.
Equip Emerl with Chaos Gamma's Dash and Rouge's Dash Attack, and you easily have the greatest infinite combo in the game that isn't a special move.

- Black Shadow/ Ganondorf(Ganondorf greatly needs a more fitting moveset, just a few days ago I was telling a friend that we need another F-zero character, And Black Shadow seems to be a perfect fit.)

You tell me that you don't want Pichu in because Pokemon has enough characters, but you are very vocal about putting Medli in even though she is from an over represented series herself.

7 Characters vs 4 Zelda characters
Adding in Pichu would make it 8 Pokemon characters, adding in Medli would make it 5 zelda characters (Unless you want to be technical and count Sheik as a separate character too, then that makes is 6)
Also the gif, use your eyes, it will make sense.

Comparatively, the Zelda series is one of the most over represented series in Smash Bros. 5 characters vs. the 1-3 characters most series have is over representation. Stop being a hypocrite.
