YI is fine if you know how to slide up stages. I've been practicing with Lucas, should really start doing it with ness. As for Lylat, I have to agree with Eagle. When I'm good on it, i'm good. But if i'm not going so well, the stage suddenly turns on me. I hate the edges...

All I know is that Rockmix likes BF, FD, and SV, and doesnt like LC, CS, and YI. His favorite stage is definitely BF I might add. Since we are regular teammates, when it comes to doubles matches, I literally just let him have full control over the stage striking and selection for our team cuz I dont really care with my character and Ness is more stage reliant.

Cuz as a Yoshi main, I dont have any bad stages! but at the same time, that also means I dont have any good stages :awesome:

I like his choice of favorite stage. The platforms are actually easy to maneuver around (perfect + more for FH height), Aerial PK Fire isn't hindered too much if you know how to place it, DROP THROUGH AERIALS BOMB! The only problem is a select few characters can camp underneath the platforms effectively... too bad those characters are all high/top tiers. XP

And Gashi, Yoshi rocks ppl on FD. SV and FD are great, the only thing that's obnoxious w/ SV as yoshi is the opponent can be broken on top of the platform and ruin yo' chains and combos. Also, Eggs are sometimes blocked by the platform. :(

Yoshi doesnt rock people on FD, he rocks people who need platforms on FD, and the SV platform is never a problem for interrupting eggs, it's too high. The SV platform interrupts our CG's far more than anything else.

That's usually why people think it's a good stage for Yoshi, a lot of characters need platforms so us taking them there is good for us. The thing is with Yoshi, we CP to hurt the opponent, or to please our own personal preferences, Yoshi doesnt prefer any stages, nor has any good or bad ones. The stages he goes to all depend on the character he's against and their bad stages, or the preference of the player using Yoshi. In a way, that's really cool because we are hard to CP a lot of times, but at the same time, characters that dont have at least 2 really bad stages are difficult for us, even if we have the CP, because they can just ban the one place they dont like and then we have no safe CP.

@Yoshi, AWESOME!

The reasons why Ness isn't a good character against some people are a.) Grab Release stuff, b.) some moves are a bit laggy (PK Fire, PKT, PSImag, DAir (if not done correctly)), c.) his ground game isn't great.

FAir doesn't make his second jump higher.

Honestly, when someone is stuck in PK Fire, it depends on how you got them there for your followup and the character that they're playing. If you play someone with a reflector, walk in a little bit and try to perfect shield the reflector. If you do, you have a chance at punishing with either yoyo or fsmash, depending on the character. Against most people, getting the grab is a good idea, but sometimes you'll get footstooled trying to grab them. Another way of getting at someone in the fire is either RAR'd BAir for the person who is near the edge of the flame or SH FF DAir to try and ground them and start a jab lock. The DAir would need to be delayed slightly so that the opponent doesn't get hit by the last 2 hits of the pillar while on the ground. If the DAir pops the person up, FH and try to read where they're going to punish with either UAir or something else. Basically, when someone's trapped in a PK Fire pillar, you have to play around with his mind.

BThrow should be used around 110% on most people to be safe. Snake, 135% or higher.
I Use PSImag all the time, therefore I'm a baller.

gotta use it on the ledge, so people think you're unsafe and then they get killed.

@yoshi, Honestly, Ness has better KO potential. BAir, UAir, Bthrow are all very easy to hit with in certain situations and if those end up not killing, they deal enough percent to make some simpler-to-land moves good to kill as well (Nair is good by 150%, utilt depends on character, ftilt near ledge is good at 120% almost always, and if you need to punish something funny, Dsmash is an unexpected move that actually kills reasonably early [but can be DI'd easily from the charging hit])
Lucas' FSmash is better than ours. DSmash and USmash shouldn't ever hit a smart opponent if you're using Lucas. Other than those, most of his moves can't really kill early at all. He can damage rack slightly better, but he has the same problem with ness of 1.) GR, 2.) most of his stuff can be shielded properly and punished, and 3.) short range on the moves that need to count. Also DANG, SLOW PKT!!! SUCKS!
Now that I read this over and over(I really felt like a noob back then :p) I'm starting to like Ness a bit better than Lucas thanks to you Eagleye :) (I'll still use Lucas, but I'm gonna use Ness even more than before plus I need Ness to be in my top 10 characters list in the brawl records lol) Also birthday this Sunday :D

I kind of agree and kind of don't. You most certainly shouldn't use them in a way that becomes predictable, but if you use it as a surprise, every so often it really works. It also works amazingly well with Lucas ditto doubles, but thing is then, it still works even if you do it regularly :-P

But yeah, it's not a move to be used as often as others. Dsmash isn't actually so bad, it has a much better start-up/cooldown than Usmash, but also shouldn't be used regularly. In the end, Lucas works better when he mixes up his moves to become unpredictable, of sorts. There's also geurilla tactics, but a lot of people prefer aggressive, and even I, in recent months have been playing much more aggressively than I used to.

I can't properly weigh up the better points of each PK kid because I really don't know enough about them, really. We haven't compared in a while, we should really get some top players here and top players back at the Lucas boards to convene and discuss.

happy....

BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! *releases fireworks and balloons and celebrates* :-D

I'm glad that I could persuade you, and Happy Beufday to you. xD

I just got back to my dorm from a b-day celebration for one of my friends that his GF painstakingly set up for him. I hope your day was great.

@Screk, I say birds of various kinds. I personally like Eagles the best, hence the name, but any major predator-like bird, minus vultures, I find awesome.
Also, I like the notion of flight.

I suppose that Lucas' USmash/DSmash can be good dodge-baiting followups... I <3 Dodge-bait. xD

Random question : Favorite Animal ? Mine are foxes :D
Definitely foxes...I love them. Especially the arctic ones! They're so fluffy and adorable <3.

Also, gonna try to still host Brainshock guys.......a little worried about it happening, but we'll see what I can do. I hope to see not just me there as a Ness main *cough*Eagle*cough*. ;)

Man, this made me nostalgia. Back home, we used to have a butterfly garden near our house. I'd go there all the time, and butterflies would sit on you if you were still enough.
omg that sounds amazing.
