Well you really should learn the simple stuff. Things like nair and stuff are pretty common and basic terms that everybody uses frequently.

Also, nair, dair, bair, etc. are pretty easy to understand.

Think of a control stick. When you're in the air, your 5 possible directions to press are Up, Down, Forward, Backward, or leaving the control stick in a Neutral position. Take the first letter of the direction you're pressing, and stick 'air' on the end cuz that's where you are.

Same thing applies to smashes, tilts, and throws, just you change the 'air' part

I mean Ninten COULD be Ness' dad. There's a time travel theory that actually isn't totally stupid. But if you think about it logically, Ninten was born in the 1980's (I think), and Ness is THIRTEEN in 199X. So...haha.

Actually time and age was never really given any specific true date in the games originally last I checked, the theory is possible. I personally like to think of Buzz Buzz as Ninten though at the least as well considering how time travel is in the game lol.

I was pretty sure they said years...and I'm pretty sure Itoi's brought it up on many occasions.

I know Ninten's 12, Ness is 13. Lucas is 9, then 12 if you count the 3 year gap (that's also mentioned in game / interview).

As for dates, EB is obviously 199X, so that could mean 1990 - 1999 or something. I was pretty sure in MOTHER they had an intro and it said something like, "In the early 1900's...", but that was just how that story started. I thought it was implied MOTHER's gameplay actually took place much later?

EDIT: Blue- My computer crashed, and I have to RE-MAKE the sigs for you guys...so when I get CS5 up and running again I'll do it! (that'll be a couple days...I need to re-add everything)

Well I know time changes a lot in the games, I mean for Mother 3 the time skip was suppose to be 10 years the 1st time for one thing.

Yeah, idk. It's hard to really know about the first and third game. I feel like EarthBound actually had pretty concrete dates. Based on the stereotypes and spin-offs anyways.

As for the crazy theories, I know of a couple:

Ninten is Ness' dad, then Ana is his mom, etc.
Dr. Andonuts is actually Loid (another weird one).
The Friend's Yo-Yo is Ness'
The crazy theory about -OMG A SPOILER >-
the battle skin they took out of MOTHER 3. If they left it in, it would mean Claus is part of Giygas (which was shown in the skin, creepily), so that means Lucas is part of Giygas because they're twins. The games seem to connect the characters to each other so omg? They're all related to Giygas?
. That ones's the craziest I've heard though.

I guess it would just depend on when you think EB took place. It does say in MOTHER that it is in the early 1900's when it happens. So if he is 12 in 1900-1994 then that means by earliest time EB takes place he is about 18. But, that is assuming that everything I said is true.

These two are hardly crazy and can be possible though. I already pointed out the timeline stuff and how it is changing so much for Ninten=Ness' dad so I won't get to that (but I should talk about how Ninten could be both Buzz Buzz and Ness' dad, but I'm lazy) so at least let me bring up the yoyo.

-Porky is obsessed with Ness and still considered him a friend at the end of this in a twisted way and he does have a collection of items from the 2nd game in the 3rd game for starters. I mean even the "movie" shown in chapter 8 is called his favorite one and he even has "fake" objects to sell that belonged to the characters in Mother 2.

-The Yoyo is hardly the only item that is like Ness' or is Ness'. Porky again has fake items and Lucas' best weapon is the "real bat" which unlike the "fake bat" is brimming with "courage." Where is this bat found btw and what was one of the things Ness had in his game again? Oh plus the power Lucas is pulling out was called the "power of the earth" as well at a few points and guess the name of Ness' power in EB again?

I don't know Ness playing too much, I am new to him myself, so I can't help in advice.

Couple of days ago. I second Ness, and wanted to hang out and talk with other ness mains.
And apparently playing Ness in Brawl the same way you do in Melee is completely wrong, go figure.
I also found out yall like talking about MOTHER :3
