Well I've been playing Ness since Brawl came out, so that's impossible.

Unless you mean actual age, in which case I meant oldest amount of time playing Ness. I'm not that old, I'm only 20.

I've been playing him since SSB actually. On another note, GameFAQs just made me day ^_^

Back in my SSB64 days I originally played Kirby but I hated how light he was (dying at 60% to Hyrule tornados sucks :(), so I tried out everyone else until I decided on playing Ness. The rest is history.

Lol, when I first played SSB when it was released I thought Link was overpowered.

As soon as I unlocked Ness though... pretty much the only character I used from then on. I thought he was weird (had never even heard of EB at the time), but cool since he was so much different than the other characters.

Link overpowered, lol. Didn't you notice his upb moved him up an inch, lolololol.

Yeah, I had no idea who Ness was either. But I liked playing him because he was unique and his recovery was pretty bada** when I figured out how to use it.

LOL yeah. I was like 10 so at the time my play strategy was "bomb bomb fsmash", which happened to work in a strictly casual setting.

I was so proud when I figured out Ness' recovery :') Weird stuff like that just made me want to use him.

The next installment needs another obscure, unorthodox character.

I thought Ness was dumb when I first saw him, then someone changed my mind. I play Ness for them now and probably always will.

R.I.P.

Sorry Neon but I can 1-up you :p

When I started playing SSB64 I thought Samus was overpowered. About a year later I started playing Kirby and learned what characters in that game were actually supposed to be capable of. Ness was always my secondary though, even if I was never any good with him.

edit: Just saw Yink's post. Very noble.

Samus was the second person I tried maining after Kirby, it didn't work out. Back in the day rolling and grabbing were big parts of my gameplay (lol noob) so I couldn't use Samus well. And also my friend played Fox so having a reflector prevent me from using charge shot too.

Eventually I settled on Ness because his grab/throws were amazing, his roll wasn't awful, he wasn't too lightweight, he had a "good" recovery (as in it went far) once I learned to perform PKT2, and PSI Magnet stopped my noob friend's Fox from laser spamming.

I got SSB because of being a big fan of EB actually. I remember Starmen.net when it 1st came out for starters as well as sites like "You are now Earthbound" and also signing certain things like the EB64 petition (and yet, my only actual account on Starmen.net was only made because of a certain web comic in it right now).

At the least I'm not as obsessive as some other people though about this subject.

Also, GameFAQs is still fun to be on right now because of the whole SSBB>SSBM thing. So I'm having fun there.
