Just finished watching your videos smash64 and I can say those were great (see my youtube comment XD).

While I can't really say I learned much, I can say that I was impressed :)... You use a lot of things that I want to use a lot but I don't always have the reaction speed to use properly. You definitely have better confidence and reaction than I. I liked the use of feigning a PKT2 and instead just hitting them with PKT1... I feign PKT1 and go for PKT2 a lot, but I don't do it the other way around nearly enough.

I swear, FOW's Ness looked like it had waaaaaaaay more air speed than a normal Ness. When he fell from the air, he glided back and forth through the air like Wario... o_o

I thought FOW moved pretty slow and was focusing on just not getting hit in round 1....

Round 2 he did a lot better...

Here is my Ness in action. Also please don't get on me about not short hopping a lot. I gotten a bit better with setups, pkt1, and overall a lot smarter.

Also I replace my voice with epic music.

SSBB CY vs. Shadius( Mr.Game&Watch) 3

Feedback is welcome. Please don't flame me:(. Also put my name as KASR in the title instead of CY. It's just a little nickname people in the SC community know me by.

Edit: All of these are done on wi-fi BTW.

I completely agree; I almost immediately noticed in game 1 that it seemed like he was probably just overwhelmed by the prospect of playing those particular two players... then in round 2 he got over it, started doing stuff, and started ******...

I'll pass on some advice I got from KirbyKaze, and it's probably some of the best advice that could be given:

"Use more moves."

Also 'KASR' - When my connection feels like being fast enough that it doesn't take hours to load YT videos I'll take a look XD

Learn PK Thunder better.
More throws.
More not Fair aerials.
And uair or nair to get a gimpy thunder eater of of you on the last one. There's plenty of time to get one of the three edges on norfair.

That's my critique.

I do it fine sometimes, but there are other time where I just **** it up.

Which throws do you suggest? Like D throw and B throw?

Don't you mean less F air?

I don't get that last one.

He doesn't really mean less fair...fair is beastly and it's hard to tell someone to use it less. Use your other aerials too though because they are all very good (and it's harder to predict when you mix them up).

That Fox is the best there is, we did friendlies 2 days later and he won 20 matches while I only won 4, he's also considered to be one of the Top 5 Dominican players.

Representing the Young Ness, eh? That's cool! Just to let you know, you do not need to approach against Wario. He'll try to air camp you, but you can just use PK Thunder on him at a distance. I noticed a lot of PK Thunder 2 (PKT2) attempts. Try to avoid that as best as possible. A lot of people new with Ness try to do that a lot and fail to do so. Another thing, avoid such large stages like that. It won't be in a tournament, if you ever decide to join one, anyway.

Also, less PK Flash. I've never seen a Ness main use it that much in one match. :dizzy: Fortunately you can recover out of it quickly, but less of that and less of the Bat. Ness' f-smash is a tad slow but good for killing. Overall, you made it predictable in the first match, so try and avoid doing that a lot. Also, if you're going to use PK Thunder, try and do it at a distance and not so close to your enemy. It'll leave you open. Make sure to circle if if you must. Chances are you'll be able to tailwhip him with it.

I forgot to mention really quick. Don't use your back throws so early. Those are good for killing in case other methods aren't working out for you. Another thing, try to read your opponents attacks and movement. Especially for Wario. This Wario used his bite and f-smash a lot which left him open for PK Fire.

I do love the commentating, I did laugh a couple of times. Try to stay more focused on the matches, though. In your second video, if you don't want to use your PK Thunder 2 to save you from the lava below, if you have your second jump, use that and then use your PSI Magnet like Fox's shine to stall yourself above it. Maybe use more fair, too. Overall you're not half bad. Just put more practice into it.

I found your own commentary to be extremely funny.... "AWWW! He knocked me right into the bomb.... what a [deutsch]" .... "AWW!!! THE FART!!!..... nasty MF." ....

deutsch = german in german....

yeah.... try to not get extremely close to a wario.... he has good aerials and other stuff, but they don't have extraordinary range... play more defensive against warios and try to space with fair more....
movewise, i would say PKT less when you are near an opponent, because they can easily punish and almost anything can cancel it out, which isn't hard because of the startup lag. use [yoyos, PSI Magnet], Fair, dair (you will use it a lot later on, trust me start now).... and PKT mindgames more. maybe it was slightly laggy and you missed with your pkts.... idk. less PK flashing people.... it loses its pizzas over time... (falco says "pizza cake!"). maybe i didn't get the best idea of your ness because i only watched the first and second ones.... correct me if i'm wrong...
To me, it seems you got a bit carried away commentating.... idk!! just me....
You aren't bad, but you kneed (pun intended by misspelling) to buff out the rough edges a lil bit as uffe said.... not in exact words.

IM GOING TO BASE EVERYTHING OFF OF MYSELF AND HOW I PLAY, SO DON'T BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO FIT WHAT IM SAYING!!! all ness mains may or may not take something out of this next paragraph, but then again, it might only help in knowing how to Pwn me every time.... or will it?!?!?

okay, when playing ness, everything (for me) needs to flow nicely; don't try to go way out of your way to do some AT that you only recently learned... once you get more used to it you can put it to use, so i will say PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT; each attack should lead into another, covering weaknesses and retreating at just the right time to be able to avoid punishing from characters with longer range; the PKT has to move smoothly, you know exactly where to move it and where you will be when the pkt head connects to something; your PKT will not always take an expected path, but deviate only slightly and then re-enter your normal "flow" when playing ness; when going to the ledge, you have get the feel for exactly where you will grab the ledge, which you can decide whether or not grabbing the ledge at that moment is the safest option; pk fire pillars should lead into moves that you know will hit; even if they SDI out and jump with an airdodge, you should be able to hit them with whatever you can, making them double think every single option, every move, every seemingly flawless plan; Pkflash is needed for luring and punishing, luring those offstage/above into trying to predict you, changing your mind in an instant to ensure you get your opponent off guard; yoyos are flailed around in every direction, confusing your opponent as to which way the next one will come from; the ground is where even birds must take their rest after spending too much time in the air; ... YOU MUST USE PSI MAGNET FOR EPIC MINDGAMES!!!!

That is the way of the eagle... soaring with the movements of the wind (of PSI Magnet)....

^I SHOULD SIG' THAT!!

This sounded really bizarre.... not bazaar.... but it may contain some of my psi-crets... for mah games... i should finish my projects....

I was feeling like a yolkster when writing this, so i may have some confusing things that i will try to de-cypher later...

Thanks for the feedback guys. Also the pk flash was either mistake, and was suppsoe to be pkt1 or trying for a setup. I was working on PK flash setups before record these videos. I need to tone down a bit. Also the pkt2 was overuse yes I can agree with that because I jsut got use to it so much. And I'll work on my move chocies so I save the good oens for last.

P.S.

I'll try to talk less when I wanna commentary. And The next smash trouney is coming soo for me, so don't worry about me Uffe.

Hours of catching up to do later... I finally updated the videos to date. Couldn't believe all the amazing Ness videos I missed in the past several pages XD

Also threw in a Ness image for the top and added the forum title above it. Took my friend and me a long time to find a nice Ness pic from the bunch to use (I hope it is appealing to everyone and if not, I can change it)

Meh. Sorry if you guys are friends, but that's why I can never respect Ice Climber mains. And don't anybody tell me that's the only way the IC's can win, because it's not. The second video made me lol.

If you're good at ledgestalling pkt then IC's can't do much about it and have to approach you.

I would normally say spam psi magnet, but that doesn't work as well against the ic's, even though they have less range... Really all you CAN do is be campy against ic's... Ness doesn't have a quick enough throw to separate the two. The most used aerial should be nair, only fair if you need to get something off and can get away quickly enough. Other than that, I'm assuming you know more than I do.

Your Ness is very defensive. But I kind of worry if you play like that against other characters. Because if you do, some of them can out-camp you. You did ridiculously good, though. Not something I've ever seen.

As I will say to everyone, needs more psi magnet....
You had a couple of things in there that I haven't seen many people do... The only problem I have with the double aerial pkf is that you leave yourself with a lot of lag if you mess up. That and you often fell into a predictable pattern with it... Nair when you can out of that, because it'll push the opponent back if they're close. Jump canceled usmash oos where you can hit the other person... Oos stuff is awesome... I use the ledge a lot, but that's just me... It's a bit risky.
IMO, Mario has the easiest projectile to absorb after pkt, thunder, or pika's jolt... Make use of that as you had a couple of times and try to be absorbing it while on the ground. Good di/momentum canceling... Good aerial usage, although I felT as if you were a bit too far away from him for any aerial spam to matter... If you want, you can try to pkt spam against Mario, but the only problem is that he can use fludd to push you off the ledge and gimp you if you aren't careful (if cape, it most likely won't go right back at you, and if it does you can just absorb it in time). Nair is great... Especially if timed well to stop the fireballs... I know there's more... You have a pretty good ness! Gj!

I use magnet cancel a lot on him. Thats why he doesn't do much fire balls. I play way diff against chars that can out camp me. Like Falco/Link. Oh. I couldn't use pk thunder because hes good at getting around it. He used to main Ness.
