Some fun facts about this tournament: My partner (Warpstatus) showed up the the tournament an hour and a half late (both he and DSF showed up late, they were carpooling together) and so i was forced to play my first round with a level 9 computer. I picked Pikachu because Rich Brown told me that pikachu is among the better level 9 computers. I lost in winners and then by the time my match in loser's bracket came up Warp had still not arrived. I could not delay the match any longer so i just decided to beast it with my level 9 Pikachu friend and beat the team i was facing (they did not seem very pro so i felt i actually had a decent chance if I played it smart enough and Pikachu didn't sd too many times) and so that's what happened haha. One time Pikachu even held an opponent off the stage and pummeled him until I arrived and spiked haha, That's a strat I use with human teammates, crazy. Anyhow, me and Warp teamed for the first time ever and even beat Las vegas's 1st and 3rd ranked players (Z and SK92) which i was happy about because that team has plenty of experience vs Ness (FOW) and zss (Kokoloo) and we ended up getting 4th. Not bad for our first time teaming and considering the stiff competition there (Ness/zss such a good team, gogo shaky and nick!).


In mid tier I just was set on winning the whole thing and knew Ness had the capability so that's what I did lol. Tyrant has a really good kirby that I went 2-1 against and Larry has a great fox which i went 3-2 against. I had to split with Tyrant because time had run out and everyone wanted to leave to go celebrate Larry's birthday. i REALLY wanted to earn my win in grand finals (plus get 60% of the pot, instead of 45%, but that honestly doesn't matter, I wanted the pride of winning) but everyone wanted to go (including the people playing out the grand finals of normal singles) so i didn't want to hold everyone up to i decided to split. I was given credit for first since I was coming from winner's and tyrant was coming from loser's. I wish we coulda played also so you guys would have some entertaining matches to watch hehe. Very fun tournament overall, i may just enter doubles and mid tier from now on, I dunno. For some reason in singles i'm not half as motivated to prove myself as I am in doubles and mid tier.

I had to play a good Peach right away. The matches were close, but I just didn't win. I should've gone Snake. I have such a hard time with Peach. Nair seems to go well for me but I just need to space against her better.

Seriously, Joker and I did our work. We did VERY well in doubles, we got sent into losers but came back to win grand finals. We took the second set 3-0. He's an awesome partner and I was DIing like a champ against an MK and GaW.

I had to use Looocas against an Ike, because he didn't seem to know how to get around PK Fire. It worked well, but man that Ike ended up getting 2nd I think.

Once again, Joker and I are good in teams. We did very well. His Captain Falcon and Samus are great.

Sorry I don't know the last two turn-outs...they aren't posted in the thread yet. Either way I'm proud of how good I've gotten in like, 2 months. I hope to do better in Singles in my next tournament. As for Doubles...I'm stoked haha, I won some money and played well!

Good job Smash64! get them respectable placings. Also i don't think tournaments 'count' unless money is involved and there at least 10 people or something ( I don't know the actual minimum number). hai skyler/fupoo!

I'm too good at psi magnet.... GET AT ME!!!

I wanna go to a tourney over summer and somehow play smash64... Go to dont blink 5 if they have one... It's at some arcade in chicago, I think. Get GOD KAIS!!! to come. 4 is in june, but 5 will surely come and I will be in Germany when 4 is on....

I agree with Eagleye. Bring God Kais to DB4 or 5, the best of IL/WI are always there and we may get oos people from IA and MI to come to these too.
