Why do they still have footstooling in Brawl +? 99% of the time it was random.

What is Shadowrun?

We're aolll friends lol, but we're different communities.

Two people are offstage near each other trying to get back on stage so they both press the jump button. One footstools the other because they were jumping which is the same button as footstool.
Since when was footstooling a button? I thought it was just jumping on the other person.

Ragnar0k... so funny you bring up Shadowrun. I was working for MLG when the game was under development and ended up providing a lot of feedback to the developers because they got a bunch of us MLG peeps into the beta program. Then I played in StK with the Ogres and Walshy on Gamebattles during the early life of Shadowrun. Sadly I was on staff at MLG, so I couldn't play on the tour with them, but they ended up getting second overall at nationals for the game. I loved playing it but my Xbox is broken right now. Is there still an active community for it at all?

we'll I was going to say something about how it sound kinda technical, but you just mad it sound gay, keith.
it is kinda techinical, which makes it gay, because of the possibilities and can make... but unless u practice the setups, timing and spacing all the time, its only used situational. except pikachu, u can up(Qac is the technical word for it) into footstool alot. anther does it often.

@Lucas: You obviously don't watch Brawl matches, where I just talk about how dumb something is.

Actually I only watch brawl matches were something dumb happens. The one where both players are playing and brawl's bad mechanics don't get in the way are just boring.

Dark Hart, when is the next bi-weekly? Is it next Saturday? I was planning to come to HERB3, but I'm not sure if I can make it now unless its just for one day to watch.

Footstools are pretty devastating in B+. If you ever get them above the stage you're pretty much guaranteed a combo starter.

Accidental footstools are my #1 least favorite thing in Brawl.

Well, the NC Smash schedule is looking like this:

- This weekend we have a Melee and B+ tourney in Asheboro.
- 3/20 there is a Melee tourney at Duke, which I'm sure you're not interested in...
- Then we have HERB3 the weekend after, 3/27-28. Melee on Sat and Brawl on Sun.
- April 3rd is when I think the next NCSU 'biweekly' is going to be held, so I'm told.

I hope you at least come to HERB3, it'll be a blast, and a real experience with NC Smash!

It's my #2. I dislike the hitstun (or lack thereof) more.

that's why I don't like melee because of the hitstun. It just feels weird too.
...? I guess you've never played the omigosh-when-does-hitstun-end 64 version, then?

@keith: I've still never seen a good brawl combo, just tech chasing or stringing. If you find one, link me to it so I can get into this game more srsly. And yeah, brawlminus gets +1 for awesomeness.

I have no motivation to look up a bunch of brawl videos trying to find combos. Link me to a good vid if you have it.

That's awesome. I actually played it for the first time in almost a year earlier this week. I found a game no problem so people still play it. It's just as good as ever.

edit - @Rag: Watched. The most impressive thing about that was not the actual "combos" (stole your quotation marks), but how you knew so precisely what donkey kong was going to do. It was impressive and showed you are a smart player, but it didn't have enough entertainment value to watch again - or even finish watching (I stopped at about 6 minutes in)
edit2 - I don't want to downplay your skill, it's reallllly impressive how smart you are at this game. It just wasn't that fun to watch.

edit - @Stock: I'll be sure to grab you next time someone brings their 64 to smash stacks or a tourney I'm at. Or I'm at one of these and I have it on my wii if you don't care about controllers (which, since you haven't played 64 on 64 controllers, could be good).

You have a SCII beta key and all you obsess about is HoN. You're such a nub.

Brawl has little to no combos. Just strings of attacks that link together with good reads.
