One thing I do a lot is jab then wait and punish any shield drop/shieldgrab with another jab, or grab them if they keep shielding. If they roll away then just walk towards them and ftilt or grab or whatever.

Pretty sure jab will punish a jump out of shield unless it's a spacy and he shines. Don't know if it beats wavedash out of shield, but it seems to me like if you just walk towards them they are still pressured.

Another thing to do is just keep fair -> jabbing their shield and force them to act and predict. Also mix in autocancelled fairs and nairs. They are really good.

Also, you really need to work on needles a lot. They are one of the main things that makes sheik broken. Doing aerial needles to grab works on shield some of the time (I think) and other times it still gives you frame advantage to keep up pressure. When you do aerial needles one hits every three frames, so if you get lucky and get one to hit right as you land then it goes into a lot of things automatically. Use needles and falling fairs/bairs to control and camp platforms.

Vs. falco, you can dash attack under lasers that are mid/high and jump over low lasers to punish Falco. Against spacies in general you need to learn to tech chase out of downthrow. Also, when he's pillaring you, your best option out of shield is to full jump nair, it limits what he can do to you a lot. Just wait until after you see the shine hit your shield then jump out and nair. Otherwise, roll away from him to mix it up some.

i guess the best option would to be buffer a sidestep directly out of shield by holding down c stick while in shieldstun from the shine and hope it's fast enough. it'd have to be really fast though

If a Fox or Falco shines your shield and has the reaction time to see the shield hit and immediately JC a grab, or they just get lucky, there's pretty much nothing you can do and they deserve to get the grab.

It's really really really tough though to have that kind of reaction time, I know I can never shine-grab when I'm looking for it, unless I just do it every time and then I finally hit a shield.

There's really no way to counter it from reaction unless of course you're spotdodging after the shine every single time, which obviously is a bad idea.

I don't shine Jc grab(though I have known about it for a long time) because I find shining to grab wirthless unless you are pillaring a shield, and I never do that.
