Little known fact, the first Sonic Rainboom occurred during the equivalent of the Great Depression.

The pon-economy was in shambles and everyone was hurting for work. Twilight's parents were desperate for her to get a good education. Applejack really left home because times were rough on the farm. Rarity never noticed in school, as women are wont to do in the affairs of men. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were also in school. Pinkie Pie's family were clearly the most hurt by it all, and after she left the rock farm she took the first available job.

That's why she started working for them.

So, I just came out of the stable with my mom, due to me needing her credit card for shirts. It resulted in me being kicked out, then 30 minutes later, she said i can stay. then she just made me a cake. Which is nice, except it looks very similar to this.
