I can get why 5 of the 6 would be used, the one that confuses me is DJ Pon3.
She was literally shown for like 3 seconds.

DJ is a BG pony built entirely from fanon, but she's gotten so much attention that she feels like a fully fleshed out character anyway.

Red eyes are also just the popular fanon.

Same could be said for Octavia, although for more screen time only to play the double bass be bothered by Pinkie Pie.

Depends if they can pick up on the fan favorites.
