This was a good episode.. also I think I saw one of Bronycon's 3 mane ponies during the Convention.

The story itself was pretty solid and captured how fandoms are, or can be in a nutshell lol. I kept thinking Quill as being a Genwunner equivalent for Daring Doo books. Also that moment where Quill asks Rainbow if she's friends with Daring Doo

Way to kick off the resuming of the season with Daring Do! A lot of adventure I needed to see, so now I have a good excuse for not going to see the new Jason Bourne movie with my mom.

And as for the guy who replaces Ahuizotl, well, he's pretty dumb. Then again so are a lot of second tier villains.

Quibble was an okay character, but i would've been more satisfied if he had a more interesting backstory.

Final Rating: 10/10

Loved the episode. Happy with the ending too, they went pretty much the opposite of where I thought they were going with it.

Their track layout. I guess that's how they fit it into Ponyville, but the way it's set up seems not only potentially confusing but a recipe for disaster, as was shown. Like the only reason they had the track designed that way was to have an easy excuse as to why everyone crashed (since on a traditional track, RD would probably be the only one to crash out there, the others would be too far behind and could simply go around).

But that's just another one of my nitpicks.

I thought Rainbow knew better than to prank Fluttershy.. I mean didn't we have an attempted prank on Fluttershy by Rainbow and Pinkie where Pinkie pulled the plug once she found out that Rainbow was trying to prank Flutters and agree not to prank her? Either way that beginning wanted me to comfort Flutters especially when she was crying.. I can't stand to see best pony cry or scared

(except the time with the leaf and her own shadow.. those were just downright adorable lol)

Some if the pranks were honestly funny lol especially whoopie cushion and the scroll one with spike and Celestia's reaction xD

Pinkie Pie spilled the beans on the prank and turned the tables lol (Speaking of beans have you ever realized how many words rhyme with beans? )

The zombie part was well played with the classic "hiding out in the barn" and zombie ponies getting in because Applejack let them in after being "turned"
This episode probably could have fit an hour if they added more running around away from the zombies after the barn but Eh lol

The opening was a bit lolsy and then when the crystal ponies were around the crystal ponies things started becoming Cringe and continued on with the exception part being the Sunshine, Sunshine, lady bugs awake, clap your hooves and do a little shake part is still adorable as ever and the backstory of the changeling. It got better just before the song which Spike did a good job with imo (was that Cathy Weseluck singing it or someone else?) And the morale of the story hit strongly. I'm honestly happy with how things may turn up with the changelings since its not really a "Redemption" but more of a solution to both sides if they can find a food source for themselves without disturbing Equestria.

Okay, here's my thoughts about the new episode.

On paper, you'd expect me to see any Discord episode as plain rubbish, but I thought this was one awesome. I love how Spike, Big McIntoshand Discord were able to find a way to make it work between the three of them in the end.

But is Big McIntosh REALLY too nervous to talk around SPIKE out of all people? If he was able to talk up a storm when disguised as a lady, why does he not have any dialog besides his signature "Eeyup" or "Nnope?" How is he even going to find a wife if he can't talk to other ponies?

Been lazy getting around to coming here and giving my brief thoughts on new episodes, so here's my thoughts on the last 3 episodes.

"28 Pranks Later" was mediocre for me and when I hear comparisons between this episode and the Mare-Do-Well episode I can see why. Nothing too funny, out of the ordinary things that I feel more nit-picky about and this is the fastest I've been at figuring out how it was gonna end. Best thing was the whole zombie aspect, but it's not enough for me to love this episode. Also, dunno what Dash was freaking out about in the barn since all they wanted was cookies where as Dash is just cupcakes.


"The Times They Are a Changeling" was pretty good for a Spike episode until the last few minutes when the song started. My initial impression when the song started was "*sigh* dang it, they just had to ruin the rest of the episode". Exposition dump in the beginning was okay, though would've been better if used elsewhere other than the song.


"Dungeons & Discords" I really liked. There was plenty of enjoyable parts and some good fun with Discord. Pretty cool club scene with Discord wearing some smooth threads and though brief I dig Dash and Pinkie wanting to join the fray. Worst part for me was near the end when Spike and Big Mac felt bad about Discord when they honestly shouldn't be.

TL:DR version:
"28 Pranks Later" = Mediocre while being a bit neat
"The Times They Are a Changeling" = Pretty good until near the end
"Dungeons & Discords" = Awesome and enjoyable

D&D started out so strong and amazingly.
Then the writers decided to fall asleep once the actual game starts in the Castle. Never before in S6 was I so incredibly let down by such a ridiculously potential-filled premise.

More Discord is always good though.

Season 6 - Season of letting your friends down but finding a way.
Almost thought they were gonna reprise a song. But okay, new song.

So Babs in Manehatten and Gabby in Griffonstone. The cult spreads.

That was a fun episode to throw back a lot of ideas and bring back of ideals.
At worst is a eh B+ at best an A or A+ depending on the personal nostalgia factor.
