i honestly didn't expect to ever take another game as seriously i did for melee, but 10 years later, here i am...

Just played this game for the first time last night. Probably going to buy it lol.
I liked Zero and Wolverine a lot. Probably Ryu as my 3rd I don't know. Are these wise character choices?

Zero and Wolv are good, Go Akuma instead of Ryu and be like Justin Wong. Wolv + Akuma Tatsu assist appears to be very good atm for crazy lockdown

I don't know man, I tried Akuma and got absolutely messed up by his lack of hp/defense/whatever causes him to die so easily. Keep in mind that I've played this ONCE (about 5-6 matches) and I'm not good or anything so maybe I just need to l2 play properly.
I just did better with Ryu because of my overall exp with him from other games (all SF, Xmen vs SF, past MvC games). Plus I was using PS3 controller so performing moves wasn't as easy.

I feel bad when I use Phoenix

You shouldn't when she has 480 hp, I use her and I don't feel bad at all due to the face that 1) Your are saving pretty much all of your supers (apart from early match maybe) to use Dark Pheonix. 2) Pheonix can be shut down early by using snap-back to force her out 3) You're in danger of using her as an assist due to the combos not being scaled on characters during an assist (aka she'll pretty much die from a even a half-***** combo) 4)People complain about Dark Pheonix because they don't know how to block well and punish >_>

Megaman series needed another character, but megaman would be a better choice than roll imo.

Yeah I dont like the dog thing either, but its gonna turn into a fanboy character like dante.

i also completed all hulk trials.. i am kinda proud but they were the easiest trials imo lol.

my team of this moment is hulk, akuma, sent.
haggar replaces akuma sometimes. phoenix replaces anyone randomly if i want lolz XD


game needs ken, cyclopes, bison, strider, captain commando, venom, megaman, and most of all. THE JUGGERNAUT *****

ofcourse phoenix wright for a new character.. edgeworth would probably do better since he used a gun... and for hyper combo he debates with phoenix XD also maybe his projectile.
x factor can be a shrug. or the finger waggle.

i also miss gambit and rogue..

other new characters that would be cool, punisher, carnage, ryu from BoF, issac from golden sun... ionno XD

Yeah my sent is pretty gay. All part of the strat though I guess. Tasky arrows to cover the jumps, all while hopefully building craploads of meter for Dorm.

Also imo, Dante is waaaaaaaaaay worse than Sentinal.

Phoenix, Ammy and Trish are also really good.

Tron is looking decent.

On the topic of Tron, she hits like a freaking truck, has tons of health and has surprising mobility.

Justin Wong can never make up his mind. He doesn't like it because it's too simple and gives other players a chance, then wins and realises he's still the best. lol

You wont learn aggressive sent online, but i can teach you it whenever i get to play you offline (dunno if thatll ever happen too soon) but ask cao/sam/tak how aggressive my sent is lol

mmm would be helpful. It's not so much I don't know combos or how to close the gap without any hurdles. It's moreso a lot of my team is tailored for a big keepaway game, and just making it difficult for the enemy to reach me. I can't really figure out if its actually worth playing aggressive as Sentinel, as from what I've seen and experienced, if he's to get the job done, he uses all the meter he builds on finishing people off.

I've been getting by playing a big campfest with Sent lasers + Taskmaster B assist (diagonal arrows) in attempt to keep the other player on the opposite side or the screen while I chip away until they die (its obviously a little different for certain characters here and there). All the meter from the first 2 usually goes towards xfactor 3 dormammu going to town when he's all I got left. So far it's paid off for me and I've gotten used to the way this team works.

So I just want some opinions on whether switching up my sentinel playstyle will impact the way my team really performs at all, or if I have any easy options without having to resort to hyper combos using sent.
