Can you even say that anymore when one of Cartoon Network's flagship characters is being called "filler"? Unless this guy was born in 2005, I have no idea how you can have mostly CN characters in speculation and think The Powerpuff Girls is a bad pick.

I feel like the general sentiment is "Every new character until we get Daffy and Scooby is nothing but an obstacle in front of Daffy and Scooby."
And when they released characters faster in the beta, still no one cared because they came out so fast that there was barely any room to talk about them!
I blame the diminishing attention span people have where they consume content in a matter of minutes and expect more by next week. That's not how it works bud

The devs of MVS do care about the game, and there are plenty of franchises in Smash that Sakurai very clearly doesn't care about and it shows.
Reading how WB is handling EOS for Suicide Squad makes me wonder if they’ll do the same for MVS someday.
They might if they want PFG to move on to another project.

Yeah Sakurai and his team have such love, they totally don't play favorites and half ass any representation in any capacity! (Sonic, Zelda, DK, anything Kirby related that isn't made by him, etc.)
In absolute fairness, a LOT of the weirdness around Sonic Specifically can probably be chalked up to Sega more so than Sakurai.

Ah. I had ruled her out since she shows up pretty prominently in gameplay footage not long before that.
Maybe he can be the next character which may work as a way to promote the upcoming looney tunes film here in america.

For what it's worth, Wabbit Season has been ready for a long while (and is one of several stages that are done but just waiting), and historically they've been very bad about actually releasing newcomers and their respective stages together. Midnight Showing, Candy Kingdom, Townsville, Titans Tower, and Back to the Past all came long before or after Gizmo and Stripe, Banana Guard, Powerpuff Girls, Raven, and Samurai Jack. We still don't have stages, leaked or otherwise, for Betelgeuse, Agent Smith, Iron Giant, or the Wicked Witch despite all of them having multiple suitable options, while Crystal Lake and Cat Concerto aren't in the "ready" batch yet. Add onto that the lack of any signs of characters from Dexter's Lab, Animaniacs, Over the Garden Wall, Pinky and the Brain, or Primal in the code despite all of them having stages either in the game or ready to go, and it gets dicier.
Considering Tekken, MvC, GranBlue, and Dragon Ball are here, Multiversus is effectively the “obligatory platform fighter” slot.
