Hey, the first game system I got was the Wii. I honestly have no idea what a turbo controller is or what it does. That's why I'm asking.

Heh, cheating on MH3. I have a friend who's tired of MH3 mainly because he cheated since he beated Alatreon for his urgent(legit). Sometimes i ask him to take down a few Alatreons with cheats, but it's useless since i NEVER broke his horn since he dies in one hit.
I'm gonna try Megatreon now, let's see if it's so powerful like they say...

Finish your 3* quests, get the best armor and weaponry possible and then go online. That's when it I really got hooked.

Sadly you get banned only if you have equipment that doesn't match your HR. Like having Vangis while HR9.

I finished almost all of offline (still having trouble with the Urgent Quests that require you to fight multiple barioths and stuff =[)though, and now just trying to get to the more interesting quests online.

There's no way to just skip to the harder quests, right? I can only hunt ludroth/quru so many times before I get bored...

When you start to get bored do what I do: mix it up. Play a different weapon or do a naked run :3

If you anticipate accurately and maneuver well, there isn't really any need for armor (besides bonus skills, which are just that, bonus).

The only monster I'd ever feel safe going up against without armor is Rathian. I can predict her like...I have no analogy.

Or Great Jaggi.

I find Giggi very easy to ****. Veerrry easy. Switch Axe represent.

How do i make gluehopper?

Trying to get the alloy suit.

Also, when do i get a long sword? I'm only on the Level ** Quests right now though.

you can't make a gluehopper. it's a bug. i believe you can catch one in the desert.


Longsword is the last weapon you unlock. It's around the 3* or 4* quests i believe. When you do get one though, just try to remember they aren't the most powerful weapon (they're strong, but don't get cocky) in the game and don't spam spirit combo when you go online please.

Edit: Also does sword and shield suck? I like one hand weapons XD

It doesn't suck, it's just more of a support weapon than a attack weapon. It's meant to cause status effects such as poison and Paralyse.

Sword and shields are actually very damaging in the hands of the right player. They're pretty easy to pick up, but you have to play very aggressively without getting hit. Read my SnS guide in the OP for more details.

Sorry about the Jho. I couldn't have taken it with a para SnS and still have time to kill Los. You also had EAD which didn't exactly help the situation either. If you're up for some Jho runs later, i'm down.

Oh and we still have to do that nekked G. Jaggi run that you were too tired to do last night :3

Actually, i did Rage Match again today and a teeny little jho showed up. So I killed it and reaped my gold crown lol.

As for the naked Great Jaggi run...I don't recall ever...wanting to fight him, more or less naked lol.

Also, what is EAD?

They might but I'm not too sure. Still, that's no excuse to wear Lagi+ with a status weapon.

Iron Gsword has less attack , more yellow, costs more.

Is iron better? Is it because more yellow - better damage? or more yellow - less whetstones. If thats so, isn't bone better?

Generally sharpness is better than attack, especially this early in the game. Try to stick with the Iron path for now until you can make better stuff later in the game.

The sharpness lasts more hits before you need to sharpen it again.

Gah's crash course to Weapon Sharpness:

there are _ levels of shrapness. RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, WHITE, and PURPLE. Each level has a damage multiplier attached to it. They are:

RED- .50
ORANGE- .75
YELLOW- 1.0
GREEN- 1.05
BLUE- 1.20
WHITE- 1.35
PURLPE- 1.50

Basically, the sharper your weapon, the more damage you do. Also, the lower your sharpness the more your attacks will bounce off of the enemy. When your attacks bounce it leaves you extremely vulnerable to attacks. The length of the sharpness bar determines how long your weapon stays in that sharpness level.


Gah's crash course to HP:

Eating food from the kitty kitchen (once unlocked offline is found next to the quest booth) or from the pub (online, sit at a table to order food) can increase or decrease your base health. Typically, any combination of meat will increase your health level for one mission.

Certain items such as nutrients can temporarily increase your health.

Certain armor such as the Rathian armor can increase your heath for as long as you wear the full set.
