Rules:

1. Five (5) Pokemon of one color, one (1) wildcard (any Pokemon of your choice, regardless of color).

2. Shiny Pokemon count, but only if the Pokemon you are actually using is shiny.

3. Since the the similarity of colors can be subjective, teams will be submitted to me through pm. I'm not entering the tournament.

4. Your team must contain at least three (3) Pokemon that are in or are below BL tier. Pokemon in the Uber tier are banned.

5. Uber, OU, BL, UU, and NU tier lists.
5a. ...with the exception of Zook the Swinub, who is Uber.
5b. Garchomp is Uber. Because he is.

6. HG / SS moves are allowed, if you can manage to find a HG / SS Shoddy server or are playing on Wifi.
6a. Scizor's new sprite is the most significant addition to OU from HG / SS. Admit it.

7. Best two out of three in all rounds, double elimination.

8. To enter you must have at least 100 posts, and I reserve the right to refuse entries.
8a. Your entry will be ignored if you do not post your favorite Pokemon and your favorite move for that Pokemon. This is to show that you actually READ THE GOD**** RULES.
8b. This tournament is a ****ING COMMITMENT. Do NOT sign up if you think doing so will give me and the other entrants a headache.

9. Changing of teams between rounds and between matches is allowed.

10. I was too lazy to make the actual list of Pokemon by color, so I let Google do it for me.

Just something I'd like to say really fast. Although it really shouldn't matter all that much, the list that your link gave us isn't complete. It has the main things that people would use, but I did notice that there were quite a few things that I would consider using on my team that I couldn't find in that list for a quick reference.

Just thought I'd tell you, in case you didn't already know.

From what I understand it, Your team must have 3 BLs or below and 3 any other Pokemon. For example, a team of (assume they are the same color) Milotic, Exeggutor, Crobat, Scizor, Swampert, Gengar would work because Milotic, Exeggutor, and Crobat are BL and below.

What if we were allowed ONE Uber on our team (barring maybe Arceus)? I think that'd be pretty crazy awesome to have for a tournament variable. A rain dance or sunny day team that isn't forced to live with the inevitable rain dance or sunny day move support would be quite interesting, among other things.

I'd imagine it would add quite a nice range of different team concepts to use, tbh. Especially if you mixed it with your other rule of 3 BL or under Pokemon. Other people's thoughts on the idea?

I considered many variations: 3 OU, 2 UU, 1 NU; 2, 2, 2; 1, 2, 3; etc. The problem with most is that the higher-tiered Pokemon will probably be able to sweep through most opposing teams. On the other end of the spectrum, there might be too many higher-tiered Pokemon that the lower-tiered ones don't stand a chance, and are essentially dead-weight. For example, a (non-colored) team might be Gyarados, Lanturn, Dugtrio, Sandslash, Leafeon, and Ursaring. Sandslash spins away Stealth Rocks. Lanturn and Dugtrio eliminate any Electric-type Pokemon, while Leafeon deals with Rock-types. Gyarados Dragon Dances and sweeps, while Ursaring is back-up. Once Gyarados gets a single Dragon Dance, he'll sweep pretty much any teams under the 1-2-3 tierr limit.

As for Ubers, Specs Water Spout Kyogre. 'Nuff said.
