I like you, JO_OEY. Leaning town read on Joey as of now.

Don't try to say this is buddying or something, I don't want your read or analysis on me to change.

I'll just say that getting a mislynch set up as early in the day as you are suggesting would be absurd as scum and not feasible. I don't see how it would benefit me as scum in the long term.

I'm too lazy to respond right now and this game promises to lack fun. Shucks. :(

I'll unvote again and try to make my commands more visible. Sorry mod.

Unvote.

Thoughts as promised: I think Joey's case isn't very convincing, but I can see his reasoning and I like the intent. Part of it is that I don't think he's seen Kantrip play before, and as evidenced by Housepets, he does try to do sneaky things even as town. However, I'd like to warn Kantrip that this sort of play is going to make it very difficult to read him, to the point where it might be considered bad play. I don't like how he's set himself up to be able to throw out stances and reads with no thought without any real repercussions. He better have a plan to show himself to be town, because he is always going to be a question mark if we can't pin him to what he says.

So, I can see where Joey's case is coming from, but I don't think it makes Kantrip scum.

The idea that it is not feasible for scum to be setting up a mislynch this early is completely ridiculous though, and I'm not sure there's even so much effort being put in to defend it. It was a weak point to begin with, but the defense is even worse.

Hmm...what do we do now?...

vote: Auspher

He's been busy, but every time he's popped in it's been to comment on some sideline issue. Very fake contribution-ish, and at the rate this game is going, I'm fine with lynching him for it.

You're right T-Block. No more of this stupidity if I'm around toMorrow.

Also I agree with what you say about JO_OEY. I think his case was pretty shallow, but it makes him look town to me.

Auspher, eh? This may be one of the only good options for toDay. I legitimately want to see where this goes.

Vote: Auspher

@everyone: If I wake up tomorrow and find you've posted without offering your thoughts on an Auspher lynch, I'm going to daykill you or something.

Actually eff it... I hate going for inactive lynches. It feels like the easy way out =(

I'm Mic_128, daytime vigilante. I can kill during the Day (because I'm Australian so night is my day haha), and it comes in the form of a ban.

I'm actually 100% serious now:

Plus one hundred babyyyyyy

Ban: Auspher

Auspher is going to flip at the next votecount. Day will continue regardless of what he flips.

Auspher, if you're town, only way you can help us now is to lay out your thoughts.

Wanna know if you can keep on going around shooting possible power roles without consult of others.

I'm fine with you shooting Auspher, by the way.

For now I'll assume you had a one-shot ability.

Dude, everyone would have just sheeped onto the Auspher lynch anyways.

I may or may not be one-shot.
I may or may not be two-shot.
I may or may not be unlimited.
I may or may not have a restriction on who I can target.

Town really doesn't need to know which one at the moment.

Any reason for killing Auspher apart from his inactivity?

Ah, thanks Gustave. I skimmed last nights events from mobile, and didn't catch that. That's a good point TB made.
Kudos to you if Auspher flips scum.

Oh I guess John was on his phone. Noted. Still, make note of when people are reading.

Yes, that was my reasoning for thinking he'd be a good choice. I decided to kill instead of lynch because after Kantrip placed his vote like I was strongly feeling that this lynch could go through with no resistance, and that doesn't provide us any information. I'd rather get it over with and then maybe generate enough information from it to make a better lynch by the end of the Day.

Gustave, if I was one-shot, would I really waste it on a D1 kill like this? ;D

I don't have much to say about this other than I don't really object in either case, be it inactive lynch or shot.

Interested to see if you're not gambiting though.

I'm not. Votecounts have been fairly regular, so you'll likely see by tonight.

If you don't have anything to say on the issue, why would you draw attention to the possibility of it being a gambit, though? If it were a gambit, wouldn't it be better to mention the possibility until after it is revealed?

Yeah Raziek, if it were fake, it was for a purpose and you shouldn't have pointed it out.

I am pretty sure it makes sense though. It might be an execute kind of thing.

So okay give me a moment I need to wrap my head around some things.

The majority of D1 conversation revolved around pregame posts.

Raziek and TB went back and forth incessantly for like 3 pages on just that subject.

Both of them should be lynched irl, but with regards as to what read that gives me, I can't say I have one considering they usually have a high level of zeal, but bleh Raziek's level of aggression is kinda off putting.

Kantrip has just been a bit dumb, and if you're the kinda person who feels that's worth a lynch on D1 be my guest, but a correlation between stupidity and scumminess is somewhat tenuous.

Everyone else is just whatever.

Because if Auspher has any semblance of sense he's going to think things through calmly.

Honestly, who since Ranmaru actually flips their **** on a Dayvig claim anymore?

T-Block, Dayvig is like THE most obvious gambit there is. There's one in RVS in almost every game that ever exists. Anyone who takes a Dayvig claim at face value is quite honestly, stupid.

The only other gambit that even comes close is Daycop.

*yawn*

Still mitigation rather than justification.

And yet, dayvig is an actual role, so it's bound to show up in a game eventually, no? And in this game it makes perfect sense with the flavour. But anyways, I don't really care to be trying to prove my role... it''ll be proven at the next votecount.

No, it is justification.

I'm justified in pointing it out because it's an extremely weak gambit to begin with. One that most competent players will not take it at face-value.

No, you're saying "it doesn't matter if i expose it - it wasn't going to work anyways". This is not justification - you have not provided a pro-town reason for saying it. You're saying your actions were NOT HARMFUL, not that they were HELPFUL.

What makes you think Auspher is a competent player?

What? Now justification has to imply that my actions were beneficial?

That's just wrong, but it doesn't even matter at this point.

If you are telling the truth, then he's dead anyway and his reaction is pretty meaningless.

Yes, I know he's dead. That's why I'm not waiting for his response or anything, and focusing on other players -_-

If you don't have a pro-town reason for making a statement, then why did you make it? Isn't that why you were on me for claiming VT? Even if it were a gambit, are you telling me there is absolutely ZERO utility in the play? The most marginal of utility is still utility, and if you're going to make a statement to negate that, I would hope you would have a pro-town reason that outweights the lost utility, no?

Why do you think Auspher is a competent player?

Raziek, can you not cockblock T-block next time, even assuming this is a gambit? Pointing out a gambit sucks is something you shouldn't do during the gambit, because you're guaranteeing 100% failure of the gambit.

lol thanks for your sideline commentary, Gustave

Now that Auspher is off the table, Gustave, who should we look at for the actual lynch of toDay?

Someone has to do sideline commentary!

I'm a bad mafia player in general, so I'd totally get rid of as many inactives as I can before the D2 starts.
I'd keep Teran, Raziek, you, me, Joey and Kantrip around. The rest is all fair play for a lynch to me.

See, my play IS about scumhunting, but on D1, with only 12 pages and more than half it is bickering over gambits and pretexts, I can't come to a solid conclusion that would lead me to find someone scum enough to lynch them over an inactive.
I'm a pretty adamant supporter of lynching inactives on D1, almost always.

Teran, are you fully caught up?
Not 100%, but most of that extra percent is just reading everything really carefully and trying to pick up on things I may have missed.

What do you think Auspher is going to flip? Do you agree with my choice?

What do you think about Gustave saying he's okay with you being around?
