I linked the announcement page because that is where the general discussion is about for all of this. From my experience I know a lot of people who will miss this, so instead of going straight to the MLG Article, I directed the attention to where it is on smashboards first, and from there you can either leave your thoughts on it, or read the article that they link you from that page. Tech, there is no harm to what I did so xP

Just letting you all know, MLG has events on all ends of the country. There is usually always a North East, South East, Midwest, South West and North West event, though some aren't always common.

However, there has always been an EC event in the northeast, either NYC or Meadowlands, New Jersey.
