So it says when you buy the $35 pass, a $20 processing fee applies. Sorry if this is a noob question, but does that mean it's actually $55? lol

I plan on going to MLG Columbus, so I assume it will be the same price...and good move with the MK decision. The issue is just too controversial right now...though I am in support of regulation against planking.

Processing fee only applies if you transfer a pass. So yeah, straight $35 for your pass and weekend entry to the venue.

For whatever reason they think it's a terrible, awful, sin of a game. Just because it isn't identical to its predecesor they forsake it. Everyone wanted a 2.0 version of their game and when they got some different that got rid of things that "fostered competitive play" they decided it wasn't worth their time and therefore labeled it as "garbage". It's just sad really.

And I would expect the ruleset to come out sometime next week, though I'm not sure why it's even taking this long to be honest. I'm sure it'll pretty much replicate the SBR rules and settings.

Uh, Tripping? I think that ruins brawl by itself. I'll still play, it will be for the community though, not the game.

We didn't want a clone BTW, we just wanted another technical, fast-paced, fighter with combos, instead we got a easy(technical wise, don't get me wrong), slow game that requires camping for high level play.

I've lost all respect for Dire, my former favorite G&W. Guess I won't be wearing red anymore.

Saying someone sucks at Melee/Brawl is not the same as saying Melee/Brawl sucks.....you do hear 1 game sucks more than the other though and....1 group has a guilt complex about it perhaps partially do to they themselves believing and/or knowing it's true. However....we won't get into that.

We all tried to master Brawl. There's a difference with the Brawl players, most of them don't even know how to play melee nor did they give it a chance. They just say "I hate melee" because they see all of the Melee players that hate on Brawl. There are exceptions to this, of course, like Purple Mantis for example, he hates Melee because of the scrubs that CONSTANTLY bash Brawl, therefore he actually doesn't hate Melee, he hates the community (actually this is just a small portion of scrubs that probably never been to a tourny before).

I actually tried to get in Melee around 2007, but the people I played with were disrespectful elitist jerks. I'm no scrub. That's one thing I also hate. The 'you suck' clause.

everything I've read here has made me chuckle. What made me laugh the hardest was when someone said Master Brawl. . Not bashing but honestly Mastering a Smash game implies that you've got absolute control over every character and every stage....pretty much everything. It's possible I guess but you'd have to dedicate 100% of you life for a few years. All that aside....why is this discussion still coming up. The games are different. Though I feel 1 is obviously better in terms of enjoyment but... From another point of view....uuhhh...Lets say someone likes bicycle races. He's pretty fast but can't compete with the professional of top level. In fact very few can but they strive to and nut hug and shun people who don't at least try it. SO! This person decides to compete in the New Jr. division. Has a much easier and shorter course with less sharp turns and the bicycles have training wheels. It's still difficult a good portion of current/Ex-top level racers participate in this event also which still makes it pointless but at least you get the feeling you have more of a shot.

I know it's a ****ty parable but...I like Parables

Personally I blame the top characters in both games along with the mechanics for the good and bad things that turned out.
