This may sound nooby but oh well. When I use a nado the move I commonly use out of it is d-smash. Now thats a good move but it becomes very predictabule and then i get punished for it. So two things i want to know.
1. I need to know a move or tech that is better to use out of nado than d-smash.
2. When useing d-smash the opponent will just block and punish me. So is f-smash a less predictabule move and if it is can it mach the killing power of down smash.

Abusing d-smash is a sereius flaw in my MK play.

Have you heard of tilts?

I hear they're pretty good.

Like F-tilt is nice at spacing, and D-tilt makes it so characters like Sonic can't break through you at all.

F-tilt, D-tilt, F-air...

MK has an amazing number of options in almost any situation.

After mach tornado hits with the final hit with more knockback, you can then use shuttle loop before your opponent has time to touch back on the ground again.

If you elevate the Tornado to about Donkey Kongs head height at the time the Tornado ends, Meta Knight will land with no lag at all, so it will open your options up. You should also practice spacing with the Tornado.

That being said, it all depends on where they are and how far away they might be from your hurt box. DSmash is good if they're not being cautious. DTilt and Dair are fairly safe options I'd say.

The nado is safe, but not completely if you just shove it at them. Don't be afraid to retreat out of the distance of punishment so you don't have to spam D-smash.

Like they said, tilts are all good too, and if they carelessly chase another nado...

You can use pretty much any move that doesn't suck balls *coughjabanddrillrush*

umm if youre ending your nado then you downsmash and they shield it and punish you...

how about instead of downsmashing you grab when theyre shielding?
