Anyway, on saturday I was watching the stream with a friend, she said many interesting stuff:
-"Melee is a competitive accident, it wasn't mean to be a 1v1, no items, Fox only, Final Destination kind of thing, it just happened"
-"If MK needs to be banned, it would only be because people are lazy and dumb, and instead of trying to learn something, they just pick MK, which is dumb, but that sole action caused the game to be rotten in its core"
-"People didn't play BBrawl because they though playing a mod is just wasting time. But they play P:M. There goes your logic."

@Pic: When I found out the dude wearing he UNAM jersey was Rafa I kinda luld because I knew that dude was Mexican. Mexican people wearing soccer jerseys at international tourneys should be a thing btw.

As for the comment your friend made, I believe Smash is great because you have the freedom to play any way you like. You can play 3v1s, 2v1s, 2v2s, 1v1s and free for alls with all sorts of funky settings. The community didn't break or mod the game to turn it into the Melee stereotype, we just opted to play that way with the options given to us.

so where's your drive? you hardly play any wifi (never see you on AiB and you never ask me to play) either but you wanna talk to me about drive? i make it out to just as few tournaments as you do, the difference is is that i'm putting in like 1-1.5 hours a day on wifi on average. so how do you want to measure my "drive"?

as soon as people show me that i have something to gain by making a tournament MK legal (by the way, making my tournament MK legal isn't going to really do anything for our scene as a lot of our talent doesn't really travel)

then i'll make my tourney legal

so until then eat a **** and hold that ****. the midwest has a long way to go in terms of drive, but it's not the only reason that they lack the capacity to improve.

also you main ROB and didn't make the switch until now. ggs

wow u must be really horrible at brawl if you still have mk banned. i doubt your region is flooded with "good" mks (seeing as how midwest sucks in general) and zss just beat mk in an international. your just salty and bad.

N-Air is way better. Positioning wise, you should almost never have to U-Air OOS, only N-Air to punish.

In very very rare situations, you need to U-Air OOS, and that is when GW SH crosses you up. You simply U-Air B-Air/Down Air/Nair frame trap him. But only Uair gets up there fast enough to cover the Dair option.

Or you could simply shield, but you can't hard punish in that way this situation.

both are good, but but, Uair can set-up to Uair strings, or even the footstool to Dtilt lock... won't happen very often, but people don't expect it and just happens from time to time.

I guess the thing about Uair is that it won't hit many characters because of their height, but if it's buffered it can actually hit many short characters(when they're behind you).

at least that's what's happened to me lately while experimenting with it :3

Getting crafty Alan, it's always nice to have new tricks.

Optimal OOSUair is situational, like after reading a rising Fair from Marth, shielding a GSL, or stuff like that. Otherwise, it's just a gimmick, and while could lead to stuff, there are more safe and guaranteed options.

I don't know, I've always liked to know as much as I can or learn everything to have a bigger "repertory" of options. I did that with Zelda, and now I'm doing it with MK ^u^

Smart everything wins.
It's like a ditto where your tools at neutral are harder to use because you get outspaced and/or punished hard, but at the same time you get much more reward for landing something, can juggle well and even gimp if read correctly.

Idk about the grab but Bair sets up in to like anything (if canceled). My personal are Bair > grab at low %s and Bair > Nair/Dsmash depending on their reaction and their %.
