Well, might as well post in here too. I'm a relatively new MK main. Been to two tourneys (One OoC) and I'd like to think I'm improving quickly. Nice to meetcha :)

I may go to a tourney in April, if I have money by then. Problem is, the host doesn't really like MK, and he initially wanted him banned, but it was argued against, and now he has added alot of other restrictions, like MK can't pick port first, and Omnigay is banned with MK, but not with Kirby :/

Ya, there isn't really any Snakes here, so w/e :p It just feels kind of annoying when some people can't respect a person playing MK :/

Coolio. I actually enjoy using that strategy, but hate using it. Same thing with camping/timing out :p

Yep. Super boring to watch, but I enjoy doing it. Can't really explain why, maybe I'm a bad person who like to see people suffer :demon:

Eh, that too :p Wish I had a Lucario that I could team with regularly. The best option for a static team-mate I have is a R.O.B./Marth :/

AND I barely even use MK in doubles, I mostly go Ness & Fox.

lol those rules, none of them actually matter for MK.
srsly, when TOs can't make good rulesets because of their sentiment for/against players, characters, stages, etc, you have all the right of complain.
Even I had to make changes on mines, like reducing the stagelist from 21 to 17.

So GW's clause IS a rule. And people are still too lazy to strike 11 stages. I died a little inside...
I have always disliked limiting Infinites (mainly because you never know when something is actually an infinite, like DDD's on any non-DK character), but that aside, why would anyone ban any infinite except Ganondorf's on Wario? In the end it won't matter anyway, but WTF?

The whole thing is surgical as hell.

Should we ever use our tilt game vs Snake?
I actualy think it's great to punish his ftilt or utilt once he misses but we can also grab which is much better vs Snake. and if we miss Ftilt 3 we probably have some fresh 21%,grab or an Utilt @ kill%

about doubles
as MK should you be the tank or the slayer if you team with Wario. I think Wario is a better tank then MK in this team.

EDIT: I'm 100% no wait 200% loyal to my waifu :O

From what I've experienced with Wario, MK should go aggro. He has great setups for Wario and I find Wario to be able to cover MK quite well. Tires are always fun to use. Also, Wario has kind of the best D-Throw for doubles imo, as it combos into everything really.

I don't really have any Snake experience. From what I've played, it's just to spot the holes in his camping, and punish them. I prefer to punish stuff with grabs, mostly B/U-Throw, since D-Throw blows up nades (That is, if they are on the ground)

yeah I see al ot of mk's just going in on him dsmash and get blowed up by nades. to play good vs Snake you need to play really patient and bait/adapt really well. As foor MK wario I kinda think MK's Dthrow is better then Wario's :$ since you got tons of infinite combo's with it. japanese do it so much. Dthrow>peanut repeat,Dthrow MK,s bair first hit then grab and repeat. You should look up the video (maguro and Kakera vs M2K and Vinnie from srt) but yeah MK can also combo stuff really weel into Wario's fart.

What exactly is it that makes the D-Throw + Peanut thing possible? Is it just the popgun having really low damage/knockback?

yes. every move with 0 knockback can do that. damage doesn't matter. if you hit the mk without knockback the oponent will suffer from grabrelease lag which allows the mk who didn't have any knockback or hitstun to regrab before the oponent can react. It works with things like MK's bair, Diddy's popgun, Lucario's aura sphere, Mario's fire ball etc.

MK is far from perfect, but he's extremely versatile, he's basically an excellent complement for pretty much everything. Getting gimped? MK saves you. Lacking range? MK adds pressure. Laggy attacks? MK punishes punish attempts. Need a stock tank? MK can camp. Heck, even Olimar, Snake, Falco, TL and others don't need to use their projectiles much because MK is all the pressure they need.
The problem with MK is that he can't do everything at the same time. He can't be the stock tank and add pressure, or pressure and save you all the time. Which is why I feel double MK is not perfect. It would be perfect if both MK have absolute complementary styles, or are well-synchronised to switch offensive, pressure, defensive, safe, etc just as they need to... But that's realistically impossible, so the team has its flawls.

Thinking a little more on it, the rule written like that is even dumber than I originally thought.
-I'm guessing it implies that MK is always considered the "loser" of it, but it should say so.
-The "GW clause" doesn't even include port selection lol
-What about MK dittos?
