I'm VERY late to the Party, so let me just state this about Palutena's moveset.

Auto Reticle seem pefect. It looks as if Palutena can hit the opponet with this move from far away. If it can lock onto the Smash Ball, then this will be default for me. (Hope it does at least 12 damage if you hit all three on a character).

Explosive Flame seems like a good sheild breaker, and as if itwould cause a good amount of damage. But, judging by where Palutena is using it, that may be its spacing limit.

Divine (I prefer saying this over Heavenly) Light seems as if it will be perfection for racking up damage. This would've been a default for me, only if it healed her in the process.

Reflect Barrier looks great for edge-guarding. This was kinda proven in the trailer, with Little Mac falling to his doom after he got hit by it. I just hope that the ending lag isn't so bad.

Angelic Missle looks as if it will put you in a helpless state if you missz. Buut, when you hit, has good knockback in return.

Super Dash (same reason as to why I said Divine). I'm tied between Reflect Barrier and this for a default. Super Dash is a good escaping move, which you can attack during also. Unless you can use this move off of the stage and don't fall into a helpless state, Reflect Barrier will be default for me.

Warp seems to move faster faster than Zelda's Warp, and can travel in any direction. And it travels a good amount of distance also.

Jump Glide is perfect. She moves fast during the move and it covers a great amount of distanse. Moving Palutena wherever you want to land/go and being able to attack during is a Plus in my book.

Rocket Jump is perfect for knockback and fast damage. Though, it's Ike's Recovery all over again.

Counter is ok. It's perfect to fend off aggresive combo players, but there are enough Counters in the game. Plus, if you use it at the wrong time, your done for.

Lighten: This move here is risky. If you get hit, you take more damage and you may become lighter than Jigglypfuff. If you can't attack during the move, then you better know how and when to use it.

Celestial Fireworks is basically another version of Counter. You automaticaloy become invulnerible, but then you fire the fireworks regardless of getting hit or not.

And with that said, My Moveset for Palutena will be:
:GCB:: Auto Reticle
:GCR:+:GCB:: Super Dash/Reflect Barrier
:GCU:+:GCB:: Jump Glide
:GCD:+:GCB:: Celestial Fireworks

Also, we need some Palutena gameplay in the stream on the Japanese Release Date for the 3DS Version

I could do that for you if nobody else does.

I hope Palutena is a starter. But unless we get another K.I Newcomer, she probably will be.

Do it anyway. I demand constant gameplay footage by as many people as possible.
Will do. I want to make at least 3 vids on Palutena. 1 being her moveset. 2 (Might take a while) any tricks or cancels I may have found while playing as her. And 3 being a combo video.

Yes please. I wonder how she will be unlocked. (If she's locked of course).

A closer look of her costume colors would also be nice. You know me with wanting a gold one to go with my Gold Pit and all. I wonder how she'll look close to a Pit, not just height-wise, but maybe that's me planning for any potential Pit+Palutena teams.

Speaking of, I'd love to see her expressions closer as well. As much as I don't want to see her hurt, let a Pit or Palutena do the damage... and let's not forget her screen KO (I think there's more than 1 look for that).

Palutena? Screen K.O? That will be interesting to see, lol. And in the recent famistu pics, it seems as if her hair has physics now. Good.

Can't forget that majestic hair and overall grace. I must see all of it for our amazing Goddess of Light. <3
I know, considering your signature. Not a bad thing though, you are a Male xD.

Also, for my moveset.....watching the trailer again, i'll swap Auto Reticle for Explosive Flame.

It appears that reflect barrier really is Palutena's default side B, as I found this from corocoro magazines. I guess this farther supports the first scan we received about Palutena's Specials.

At least Reflect Barrier is definitely a default special. That's one of the things she really needs.

Take a look at these:

Palutena Kirby 1.jpg

Palutena Kirby 2.jpg

So is it just me, or is Kirby striking two different poses here. He's definitely using a special move in both, as his staff is lit up, and his halo is there. But in the image with Palutena, he's rigid and holding his staff straight up, similar to Palutena's Heavenly Light stance. But the second image is closer to either Auto Reticle or Explosive Flame, with the staff being pointed outward and one foot sticking out. Is it possible the special move that Kirby gains by swallowing opponents changes depending on which custom special they have selected?

If so, that kinda puts a hole in image 1 supporting the idea of Heavenly Light being Palutena's base neutral special.

I'm afraid that maybe Kirby can copy the move of the player's current custom neutral B special, so maybe he's using a different Palutena custom special or the time of the same move is different.

I have no doubt about it Kirby will always copy the Neutral special regardless of if it's a standard special or a custom special, that image is cool at least, maybe there is not Palutena but it's Kirby Palutena

Kirby gets more copy abilities.. #Sakuraibias confirmed

Coro Coro seemed to also give few pics showing that Palutena possesses a bit more expression this time? Noice.

They could both be a part of the same move animation.

In a game where almost has an extremely fast funning speed, I feel like characters that lack it will be pretty bad. Palutena's running speed... atrocious...

i don't know man it doesn't look that bad her walking speed sure but her runinig speed seems decent
her strengh will lay in her range game not her speed at least thats the way i see it.

Exactly, once they're in then it will be annoying to keep them out. You can't really out run them. :ohwell:

A slow, campy character is going to have a hard time staying away from the opponent. All other campers have a much better running speed.

I really can't think of anyone slower than Palutena that's been revealed. Possibly Ganondorf could be slower.

1:49

Lightweight is really important for her to have. Any kind of horizontal movement will be good for her. Warp could be good for keeping away as well.

I don't think super speed will be very good since you have to either keep running or do a dash attack. Light weight you are likely to be able to act out of. But it will be dangerous to use at high percents.

I think Lightweight is being overrated.

Giving speed and lightness to a character that's designed for keeping the opponent away just means that when you make a mistake you suffer for it more. I'd rather her keep her normal weight and speed and use warp for mobility if in need of such.

Also, we don't know the extent of her aerial game just yet. Or the power/speed of her tilts. It's definitely feels too early to say her weight/speed will be a negative for sure.

I am definitely interested in her aerial game. Looking at how I play the Smash Bros series, the aerial game is very important to me. So far, we only saw (from what I will assume it is) her neutral air attack. That move looks very useful if we can time it right. I will probably try to short hop into that attack as a start up.

Amazing observation! So to that extent Kirby could possibly copy Mario's Fire Orb or DK's Tornado Punch even

They could both be a part of the same move animation.
Hm, maybe. Is there footage of the entire Heavenly Light animation?

also Palutena definitely seems like an unlockable to me, idk

So Palutena seems to be some kind of character that keep oponents at a distance with moves like her side and down Smash, Reflect Barrier, Autoreticle and apparently strong air combos, we haven't seen that much but for her specials and her up Smash, I see good indicators of a strong aereal combo.

Sorry if I am not improving the conversation, hope some of her standard moves get revealed, like the velocity of her standard A, tilts, and more of her grabs.

At some point I though Palutena would be similar to Zelda as far as speed and normal attacks, but I was wrong, Palutena might be slow or so it seems, but appart for her wings her staff provides a good range for her weaker attacks. I think only 2 attacks using the staff have been shown: the neutral aereal and that other one when she spins the staff in front of her.

It's better than nothing. We need more data and such, but it probably won't come for a while with more characters still around to steal her spotlight. There also is that one Staff move used to hit Fox with, making it 3 staff attacks.
Idk what else to say just yet. :(

EDIT: In other news, I'm now a Birthday Pit! :3

It really has been a while since we did something, but that's what happens when we don't get enough data or info on our Goddess of Light. On the bright side, just a month away, right?
