Not sure if this has been stated... but this is also how to DI out of Zelda's forward and up smash. At least it works for me.

You can also inverse the knockback of Zelda's up smash, and SDI down from Zelda's forward smash and tech it.

IIRC once Zelda's u-smash is staled it becomes impossible to SDI. But otherwise, yeah, you can SDI u-smash down to escape, and SDI out of f-smash.

Yeah. Its funny when you DI out of Zelda's forward smash. Most times you pop out behind her.
