I'm probably just kidding myself, but seeing as the anniversary of Super Smash Bros. is coming, that makes me wonder if Yoshi would be revealed to represent the fact that he's one of the original eight starters.

Again, it might not happen, but seeing as Yoshi is the only original eight member to not be revealed yet, it's just a thought.

At this point I really think he'll be revealed in March.
Something is certainly brewing for around the 21st of January since Nintendo is going to meet with the investors that week, so I hope they'll take the chance to show something off for Smash Bros.' anniversary. At this point though I hope/believe it will be something bigger than they showing off the most obvious returning character of the game.

You do need to take into account that Sakurai typically follows Japanese release dates when revealing veterans. Yoshi's New Island doesn't get released until Summer 2014 for Japan, so Yoshi may not get revealed at all for March.

There's no way I can choose a favorite Wii U stage. They're all incredibly beautiful and creative.

For the 3DS however, I'll have to say the Kid Icarus Uprising stage. And it's totally not because I am an Uprising fanboy. And damn you Sakurai why won't you show more of iiiit.

My top 3 for each version stages would be:
Wii U - Battlefield, Mario Galaxy, Skyloft
3DS - Rainbow Road, Gerudo Valley, Arena Ferox

Overall, all stages look great, especially the Wii U ones.

Considering that there's nothing else to show off in March it's still very possible that Yoshi takes that month, especially if Smash releases sometime during the summer too. Could be a newcomer month too, in which case we can hardly complain.

Since we're talking favorite stages, I think for the Wii U Pilot Wings looks the best, and 3DS Rainbow Road.

I think it's plausible.

Newcomer reveals likely won't occur outside of Nintendo Directs. And since we tend to get a new Nintendo Direct every two months, the next possible newcomer reveal would be in February, followed by April; this would basically mean no newcomer reveals for March.

We've gotten a Nintendo Direct every month for quite a while now (since August I think?), every second one being a big one. I don't see why a Smash newcomer couldn't be the main attraction for one of the smaller ones, considering Rosalina was revealed as a playable character in Super Mario 3D World in one of the smaller ones too.

I don't think we got a Nintendo Direct for November though, so it has to be every "other" month that a new Nintendo Direct will air.

We usually get a direct every month, but the ones that happen every two months are the big, world-wide direct. For example, there was no November direct in Japan.

November had the Direct which confirmed Rosalina in Super Mario 3D World, and that was one of the smaller ones. Again, I don't see why they couldn't do something similar and announce a Smash newcomer in one of the smaller Directs too.

Actually, I think we DID get one towards the end of the month showcasing the 3DS being used as a tour guide tool in the Louvre in Paris. Also, Wariofan1? That was December's Direct, not November's.

Speaking of King Swagawagswag, do you think they nerfed his Down-Throw and recovery ? Or do you think they didn´t notice it ?
I personally think it will go like this: They try to nerf his dowm-throw, and it stops being that good of a tech-chase/mix-up tool. But the down-throw still remains a nightmare to heavy characters like DK, Bowser or D3, or maybe even Rosalina, since she is so big and floaty.
In addition to that, what about the Jet Hammer ?
Do you think it still sucks as a move ? Or was it buffed in order to be worth using ? I mean, we know Sakurai doesn´t seem to care about competitive play, but do you think he may have buffed it even for casual players ?
What do you think ?

The screenshots are from an European Facebook page. You won't find them on any North American pages.
Thanks for the information.

Speaking of that, I've remarked that on Europeans' versions of Nintendo official website, there are portals leading to Metroid and Kirby games, but no on Americans' versions...

Too bad you American people haven't those portals on Americans' versions of Nintendo website. :(

Even if Dedede can't combo Rosalina to death, he could still approach her pretty easily with his hammer. But considering how slow some of his attacks are, Dedede may have to stay clear of Rosalina's attack range if she can strike faster than him.

He can't get in with her luma meat shield. He'd have to knock it at first and assuming Luma/ Rosalina's jab has at least equal priority with D3's ftilt that won't be easy.

Considering that Dedede has a longer reach than the Luma, getting it out of the way likely won't be too much of a problem. But since a new Luma can always be summoned, Dedede may have to resort to forcing the Luma to stay close to Rosalina.

I really don't think we have enough information about the Luma, or any of Rosalina's attacks or any improvements/ nerfs Dedede has gone through to really understand how a battle between them would result.

So what awaits tomorrow. I'm better we get something about King Dedede

Well the visuals were buffed on it at least. Now Dedede has the look of a man, err... penguin that's holding a damn jet engine on a stick.

DDD's look always annoyed me in Brawl... to me, this was a huge improvement.

Also, am I the only one that sees like no visual ties to the anime? DDD has expressions and such that don't exist in Kirby games, but so do the other characters on the roster, like below:

And his "get hit" animation is at the very least VERY similar to his games... just in 3D now.
