If that's the case as you truly say then give me alternate costumes for just about every damn body. I'd just much rather if it's not the case we don't get overloaded with them taking the time to make models to use for alternate costumes, but no time to make models for you know actual newcomers, some of which like we've already seen with Wii Fit Trainer and most likely Villager could very well end up having their own alts.

But yeah, we're not gonna get dime a dozen, but we'll definitely get this same treatment for Miis and the Villager.

Anything else is purely speculation with no basis, sans maybe age differences (Ike's Brawl look plus his Radiant Dawn look, Snake being MGS2, 1, and 4 Snake, etc).

I think, however, that alternate costumes, like Toon Link wearing his Outset Island clothing, or Mario in his Tanooki Suit, or Snake looking like Big Boss with an eye patch will be a thing that at least a half dozen or so additional characters have.

Well it's not the pic that interest me, though Pits new pose is looking good, it's Sakurai's comment that caught my attention.

Nothing is absolute, even in a daily pic. We'll never really know for sure what has changed and what hasn't until we play the game ourselves.

Some of us knew that KIU was gonna be available for download in Japan today, and well, we got some Pit to help promote that which is a great idea. All 3 newcomers, Olimar, TL, and Sonic already had their spotlight on specific dates, so give an uncommon character like cute Pit a chance to shine. While personally I want to see Bowser get a spotlight of his own rather than be a punching bag, Pit needs his moment to rise as well.
So for the whole weekend, look at that Pit with his sharp look, slight head tilt while looking ahead, them wings, and that small glow on that bow. That's heavenly details there.

Anyway, I'm hoping Pit's moveset will have changed a bit more in addition to his revamped specials.

Game is still in development and the pic may not be like the in the final project as the comment said, but I myself do hope to see more new moves from him.

Not an interesting update but I do appreciate the caption. It's a nice reminder to the people who are committing hari kari in masse over DK's fur and critiquing every pixel in every update. 20 updates in November with probably 6 before the next character reveal. With a ton of games coming out this month, things should be interesting. Hopefully we get the next Nintendo Direct next week or the week after.

Luigi -> Peach is still the longest wait, having to wait from the 7th August until the 12th September, being 37 days. Right now we're at 32 days of waiting, so we are closing in.

Not yet but unless someone is shown by next Thursday it will be. Aside from Nintendo Directs, Sakurai also seems to like revealing characters on the 11th (Wii Fit Trainer) and 12th (Olimar and Peach) for whatever reason so I think we should see someone by then especially with a ton of games coming out this month and Nintendo trying to promote them as much as they can before the Holiday Season starts.

I think people are getting too far ahead of themselves with this "alternate costumes" thing.

This doesn't necessarily confirm "alternate costumes" per se. I think instead it's likely that you will just be able to choose the gender of Wii Fit Trainer, with female being the default. I expect that the same will be the case for Villager and Pokemon Trainer (with the male form being the defaults of those).

People expecting Dr. Mario/Dry Bowser/Outset Link are getting ahead of themselves, and people expecting crazy s**t like Lucina are getting wayyyyyy ahead of themselves. The argument "The two WFTs are different entities like Marth and Lucina" doesn't hold - the trainers are generic characters, unlike Marth and Lucina who have their own personalities.

I couldn't have said it better myself. This is exactly what I meant when I said people were jumping the gun. I'm glad there is someone else who sees this realistically!

Unless we get a character confirmed next week for no reason (which is a good reason IMO!), this will be the new streak to beat.

I've been on that site for nearly if not 5 years, so I know the crazy stuff that happens there. Just don't put me in the same category with em, as I see myself more tame than them, with a bit of pride... and temper-bound.
