Are you serious? Really, now that sounds that new like it have never been in Brawl already

However, the classic Sonic would be a nice idea, especially because of Sonic Generations and the classic Megaman in SSB4.

While definitely very similar, there are some slight differences between Pit's black color in Brawl and Dark Pit, such as red eyes and .
There's also the different voice: Dark Pit's voice is deeper than Pit's. I'm sure that's what he meant with Dark Pit look.

Given that Dark Pit is literally a clone of Pit, his voice is done by the same actors in both Japanese and English versions of KI: Uprising and Dark Pit being a popular character within the KI fandom, I think it's possible that Dark Pit may be an alt. for Pit.

Another alt. I'd like to see is Dry Bowser. That would be freaking epic.

Although didn't Sakurai say alt. costumes for certain characters were out of character. Dark Pit and Pit are different people with different personalities. So it's still possible Dark Pit may have his own slot.

I used to think that way too, but when you think about it, they have the same fighting style in their original game, so it's not much of a stretch to have Dark Pit as a Pit alt. Just replace the Palutena Bow with the Silver Bow (which would be a texture swap much like the rest of his body) and switch his voice clips.

From a programming standpoint, it's a simple, yet efficient solution.

Yes, I'm well aware of that. I used to support that idea a lot, but nowadays I don't really support any character.

What I meant is that Dark Pit can be easily implemented as an alt. for Pit. It could be as simple as a texture and voice swap.

I was scanning Miiverse, and people are yelling at each other about Mario and Dr. Mario. A lot of people are saying they're separate entities, therefore there shouldn't be a Dr. Mario alternate costume. I know the argument is stupid, considering Male Wii Fit Trainer is obviously a separate entity from Female Wii Fit Trainer, but what do you guys think? Are Mario and Dr. Mario the same person? Even if they aren't, I think Dr. Mario should be nothing more than an alternate costume, and I'd love to see him return.

I looked up the Wii Fit Trainer after the Wii Fit Trainer was confirmed (I didn't even know it was a character), and no, they both are instructors of sorts, and have different voices.

So no, that won't be a problem.

Yup, that's an easy one and it makes sense. Considering there was only one alternate costume in Brawl, I won't get my hopes up too much for costumes other than WFT, Wario and a very likely female Villager.

I think we won't get SS Zelda, but rather, a SS Zelda outfit for Zelda.

Considering who Demise is, it makes perfect sense.

Oh yeah, and OoT Ganondorf can stay away. He looks like a goofy troll from the forest, like a new enemy of the Smurfs, or a new nemesis of Barney the Dinosaur or w/e. The King of Evil isn't supposed to be a funny character, just listen to his voice files in Melee, or simply look at his smirk, he's a laugh. He's not evil, he's everyone's friendly neighbourhood troll. The TP Ganon at least looks and acts menacing, and is pretty damn awesome in TP too, they just need to make him play like he's supposed to.

In all honesty though, I'd prefer a more Warlock-like Ganondorf over another sword character, it'd be much more unique. Though that discussion should be taken in the Ganondorf thread.

People, there are more characters who fight using their fists and/or bodies or some other weapon than there are sword characters. FAR more.

For 64, we had Link and that's all.

For Melee, it was Link, Young Link, Marth and Roy.

For Brawl, Link, Toon Link, Marth, Ike and Meta-Knight. Pit had his daggers, but they also turned into a bow and arrow, so that could go either way.

And even then, that's like a small 5 percent of the roster. It's not like the roster is filled to the brim with sword users. More of them will NOT kill you.

Stop using that as your weak excuse. It's not working.

Well technically everyone has alternate colors. Alternate forms will likely be exclusive to the likes of say the WFT, Villager, and Miis. Maybe the Pokémon Trainer. If Sakurai went into great detail he could do it for the Pokémon that aren't Mewtwo as well (given that the different sexes of Pokémon have slight different appearances).

I meant it as in comparison to Magic vs Sword representation on the roster. There's only one character who uses magic on the roster as her primary weapon, and that's Zelda (unless you count PSI as magic, which it really isn't, but if you do, it's still only 3) vs 6 sword characters, likely a 7th one with Chrom. I don't really mind sword users, just look at my main, but even then there's only so much you can do with a sword. I feel that the heavy sword user role is already filled well with Ike on the roster. That's why I'd love to see Ganondorf turned primarily into a warlock type of character who can also pack a punch. Have a mini-Warlock Punch as Side Smash for example, Down Smash creates pillars of purple magic from the ground, Dead Man's Volley as his Neutral B, you get the idea.

Anyways, like I said, this isn't the place for this talk.
