It might end up being one of the few stages to not have a Final Destination variant though, considering its 2D format.I can't wait to see what this will look like in Final Destination form.
Yes. It was set up like your typical arcade game in which more obstacles were added the further along you got, eventually getting to the point where the game was hilariously difficult. Excite Bike and Ice Climber are like this too and speaking of which...Why do the platforms have different colors?
Were there different colored platforms in Balloon Fight?
I wouldn't worry about it. Of the 5 characters that were in Brawl's starting roster and not confirmed yet () 3 have all but been confirmed () and 1 has been very heavily implied (/) . Realistically speaking, we still have at least 3 months (probably 4 given Nintendo's release history) until the 3DS game comes out with the biggest gaming expo of the year about a month and a half way so there's plenty of time and opportunities for them to pop up. It should also be noted that we got 9 characters in the span of 4 months so we've averaged 2 characters a month anyways so, again, even if this drops to 1 a month (which is unlikely thanks to E3), I don't think anyone should be concerned about them not being revealed before release. The fact that our 5 newest challengers' warnings aren't gone yet makes me doubt Ice Climbers this week a bit. Maybe Meta Knight around May 2 will actually be our next challenger, but if thats the case when else would they show Ice Climbers?
Yes, but you're only thinking about the NES representation of Fish. Fish, in his modern appearance, is seen as a giant, imposing figure... which is honestly the way he was always envisioned. To scale him down would be a disservice to his character which is why I think he will always be a boss or stage hazard even though I know people would love to see him as playable.I would have thought that fish was too big to be in Smash, but here we see that he has been re-sized.

On a random note, looking at your sig, how is Takamaru 'seemingly disconfirmed'?I'm in love with this post.
To me, Greninja takes the role i pictured Takamaru in. He's still likely and i still support him, but I figured he would throw stars and use a sword similarly to the way Greninja keeps swinging those water blades around. On a random note, looking at your sig, how is Takamaru 'seemingly disconfirmed'?
Anyways. Tomorrow, I predict... something brand new~
Ah, I see. ^^ Well, I doubt you have to worry Greninja 'took his place' here. I mean, you could have said Greninja wouldn't have been likely because we already have a Ninja (Sheik). And such. I doubt Greninja hurts his chances at all.To me, Greninja takes the role i pictured Takamaru in. It does help that Takamaru's a Samurai with neat abilities, not a Ninja. Plus, having what... a shuriken in common doesn't mean much. One of Villager's moves is based around Punch Out. Little Mac is there.Ah, I see. ^^ Well, I doubt you have to worry Greninja 'took his place' here. But we'll see.
Haha, yeah, that 'Lucario replaced Mewtwo' thing is really odd, to say the least. Yeah, Takamaru hasn't been hurt at all by this.It does help that Takamaru's a Samurai with neat abilities, not a Ninja. Plus, having what... a shuriken in common doesn't mean much. I think many disconfirm characters a bit too fast just because they have a move or two in common. Mewtwo VS Lucario is the epitome of this.
I will be fair. Before we know that Mewtwo was planned, that wasn't really a bad assumption to make. I do agree it's silly since they have one move in common.Haha, yeah, that 'Lucario replaced Mewtwo' thing is really odd, to say the least. Yeah, Takamaru hasn't been hurt at all by this.
LOL, I'm so glad somebody got the joke.Yes, but you're only thinking about the NES representation of Fish. Oh, I'm not worried about them being revealed at all. I'm just saying maybe I'm not so confident about Ice Climbers at the end of this week. Meta Knight's been implied with the Halberd stage too, I feel. Honestly what I think is that we could get Ice Climbers this week or whenever, Meta Knight around May 2, and Wario around May 30. I'm pretty sure Ike and Lucas are cut and Ness is a secret character, therefore I'm personally not worried about much at all. All the starters will be revealed when the game comes out and all I'm worried about are how happy and surprised I'll be at secret characters! I was spoiled for Brawl, but remembering the magic of melee's "WARNING! CHALLENGER APPROACHING"s I really wanna stay spoiler free for Smash4. I think my most unrealistic hope is Tetra, so I'll be really happy to see her. She has a couple things going for her, but...I wouldn't worry about it. Well at the very least, Sonic and Megaman would not be starters. Snake and Sonic were revealed on the Dojo before the release and they were unlockable.I'd be very surprised if all of the characters revealed so far are starters.
It would be a very unbalanced group, as far as series. All the Mario characters as starters? Mega Man and Sonic too?
My impression was that Sakurai wasn't trying to keep unlockables secret because people will find out online as soon as it releases (hence why all the newcomer trailers will be available without needing to unlock them).
Third party characters have been noted to be unlockables for being "guests", as Sakurai puts it. I remember people making similar arguments to yours back in the Dojo days for Brawl. "Pokemon Trainer's three fighters in one; why would he be a starter?" "Why would they have three Kirby characters from the get-go? Dedede's probably unlockable." I'd actually be okay with the characters shown so far being starters. Some people may argue against Toon Link, Lucario, Marth, and Luigi but, honestly, if I have to unlock characters, I want most of them to be brand new so, in my opinion, the more veterans in the starting roster, the better.I'd be very surprised if all of the characters revealed so far are starters.

I agree so much. I would much rather that veterans be unlocked from the start, save a select few, and the rest of the unlockable characters be revealed newcomers or unknown newcomers. It's far more exciting to unlock someone you didn't know about than to unlock a character you've played in three other Smash Bros. games, like Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, or Ness.Third party characters have been noted to be unlockables for being "guests", as Sakurai puts it. To me, it's just that Greninja filled the niche that Takamaru would've originally filled. I don't think Takamaru is any less likely, or is deconfirmed. It's just that I want him in less now that I can play as Greninja and get the same feel that I would've with Takamaru (supposedly).Haha, yeah, that 'Lucario replaced Mewtwo' thing is really odd, to say the least. FYI Takamaru has an invisibility cloak, fireballs, and lightning bombs. To me, Greninja takes the role i pictured Takamaru in. He's still likely and i still support him, but I figured he would throw stars and use a sword similarly to the way Greninja keeps swinging those water blades around.
Different stages have different colored grass in balloon fight so it must mean the grass color changes depending on stage layoutWhy do the platforms have different colors?

unless you're like me and think that the direct is just enough for me to make me buy the game (smash run really made my day finally people will realize how kirby air ride city trial is that good).weeks after directs are boring...
and watch him NOT showing ridley just to keep it impossible to tell his fate (ugh.. Sakurai and you're trolling this is really a trademark).I bet were getting something we already know about. The direct was pretty much Sakurai saying "Well I know what I'm doing in daily pics until E3"
Blue you say? "Personally I prefer the air" -I'm hoping cool info not related to the direct and something completely out of the blue
There is an ocarina code for this in brawl, It's funny as hell lolThis stage sounds crazy fun.
I'm imagining a Pocket Fighter-like moment sending the opponent in a full circle and receiving them with another attack... oh the possibilities.
I get the feeling we are going to get nothing but Direct clarifications until E3 2014... since you know, we got 5 characters at once... that's equivalent of 3 months! The Direct "clarifications" continue. Not bad, but I do hope we get away from ones that are quite this obvious.
