The only "blunder" for me was Olimar getting a Pikmin nerf.
Other than that I didn't mind the info.

People not understanding what gradient color is are blowing my mind, especially with the certainty with which they assert their confusion.

He is referring to the graduated color of the beam sword, or the gradience. Google the word "gradient" if you still don't understand. It means gradual transition and blending of color.

The graduated color is obviously implemented so the sword is distinguished from Shulk's Monado.

It's nice to see these items again, but we already knew all of this from the direct. I feel the rest of the week will just be a restatement of things we learned from the direct.

I just hope we get a little bit of new info unrelated to the direct like possibly another look at the Tomodachi Life stage, and maybe an Ice Climbers reveal for this Thursday due to the NES Remixes coming to JP.

We'll see if we get any new info tomorrow. Less than 50 days to E3 anyway so there may be something yet.

I'm sure theres heaps of info still to be revealed. I guess it just depends on whether or not Sakurai wants to give us everything. E3 is going to be amazing.

I'd love some more music info. Or a better look at some of the 3DS stages. Or an AT. Actually, I'd be happy with anything except filler. Even if it's direct explanation. Sakurai must feel so overwhelmed. Bet he wishes he has the Dojo back.

I actually wouldn't mind having a Dojo replacement for the PotD if it gave updates that were really specific with some new information. Plus with that idea, Sakurai could do it two or three times a week and it would probably end up being less of a hassle for him.

I'm okay with Zero news until E3. Just like I'm not okay with Zero news until E3. Waiting is difficult all the same.

I enjoy surprises.

I honestly feel as though the Direct shouldn't have revealed so much. They could have saved some news for the daily pictures... like the Blue Tortoise Shell could have been revealed around Mario Kart 8 or something. I just feel as though they went a little reveal happy. So I don't expect anything new.

I honestly felt like the Direct should've revealed more. For it to be so long, it felt so short to me. I would've been happy with even more info, but I'm happy with what we got. I'm also completely content with the pics continuing the way they have been until E3.

Just because the Direct gave tons of info doesn't mean the pics have to start doing so on a regular basis. They're still the same thing as before: Sakurai just taking some neat pictures of his choice and sharing them with us.

I don't expect or want anything aside from the pictures continuing on until the games are out.

Yeah it's kinda funny but when the newest batch of pictures came out (not the ones on the Direct date, the ones this weekend) I kinda just rolled my eyes haha.

I mean I was happy to see more pictures, but I just knew that if there was any more info in that batch, it'd be "bye bye" to info via the PotD for a while.

I still feel the direct should have begun and ended with a newcomer reveal...

I do welcome one thing about not having as many "new" details in the POTDs. Whenever I wake up to see what the Pic is, I don't have to waste to much time seeing people's reactions to it and can go to do doing my homework and getting more sleep.

Why would having the Dojo back be less overwhelming for him?
Because he has so many things to post to clarify the direct. With the Dojo, he did updates that covered a whole list of items and multiple moves. I know he could do that if he wanted, but yeah... I just feel like there'd be less filler if he had the Dojo. Personally I prefer less info, just sayin'.

Also, I am aware of 'You Must Recover'.

I just don't want self-explanatory pics. "The beam sword has new colors, and the Fire Bar diminishes every time you strike." Okay? Like he thinks we can't use common knowledge to deduce what they do in the 3 seconds of gameplay they had. Give us some info on the items shown off in that flickr set of photos.

I don't want this to come off as demanding and selfish, but I'm hoping for substantial information.

To be completely honest, if all we get is info already stated in the direct till E3 I will be pretty disappointed, even if that dose sounds a bit selfish on my part. I want to know more about stages not shown yet, info on stuff that still needs explanation like some of new items including the S-Flag or Tanooki Leaf, at least a few veterans, or even Nerfs/Buffs of characters that didn't have their time to shine in the direct. After this week we have 6 weeks, more than month, of pics of the day till E3 and all I'm asking is just for more info that wasn't obviously shown/restated from the direct.

I feel like Nintendo might really want to market Mario Kart in the near future.

The direct was a nice burst of interest for Smash and now Nintendo should switch gears and show off this nice, pretty-looking game about to be released.

Maybe we will get Wario for a veteran during this time.

Surely there's a lot more Mario content on both games. Wario os a possibility, but so is a Wii U MK stage, the blue shell item or bew ATs. I wouldn't be surprised if the Koopalings appear in this game in some form, so their role could be explained.

There's really not a lot of 1st Party stuff coming out soon. I hope Ninty have something big planned for E3.

Legend of Zelda will be the next juicy bit of information.

But you are right, that the blue shell can be explained. As well as the stage and other related tidbits.

Other than the obligatory Wii U Zelda, and Smash stuff, Nintendo doesn't really have a lot on horizon to show off at E3. Hopefully we'll get some nice surprises, like a 3DS Metroid title or something.

And I'm totally cool with meh pics until E3. The Direct was amazing, I rewatch whenever I'm bored. The hype shall stay strong with me until June.

Confession: New ATs are almost more hype for me than veterans.
How DARE you have an uncommon and unique opinion, you fiend! D<

You shall be assimilated into the hive mind that is Smashbo--Pfft, hahaha! I can't even complete that sentence even as a joke. XD

Yeah, new ATs are pretty cool. ¦3

I lost it at the Pong (Color TV-Game) AT. Frickin' lost it. Can't wait to see how they factor into All-Star.

Oddly, Color TV-Game 15 being confirmed as an assist trophy was one of the major disappointments of the direct for me. Color TV-Game 15 is a major part of my childhood. I was really hoping that Sakurai would make it playable with an updated design, and perhaps even revive the franchise, you know?

As for the pic of the day, I predict a big steaming pile of nothing.

That's seriously my favorite one. I am disappointed Goroh was thrown into AT status instead of having a good chance of being playable. Same applies to Waluigi.

I'd like to see some stage info tomorrow, preferably more than a FD version of a stage though.

Which characters have been revealed as part of a special occasion, like a game release?
Olimar, Toon Link, Zelda, King Dedede, Lucario, and Diddy Kong were revealed for game releases and specifically Lucario for the Brawl anniversary. Luigi, Sonic, Rosalina, Little Mac, Sheik, Zero Suit Samus, Yoshi, Charizard, and Greninja were revealed via Directs.

Marth and Peach were revealed randomly (people say Peach was revealed for the SMB anniversary, but it wasn't the right day). So it's safe to say the vast majority of reveals will be linked to some special occasion.

It's now been two weeks since the direct, time enough for me to get excited about new information being revealed!
