Donkey's fur is pretty funky (lolol) himself.

There are still a lot of graphical touch-ups that are needed. But I hope they do polish these things sufficiently before release.

Woah. This threw me for a loop.
The pic of the day was early. I first saw the Diddy pic with the stretchy hands in the Roster/Character thread and thought it was a photoshop...

I'm glad that Diddy seems to be staying the way he is.

Same with Dedede's fur trim.

I don't think modern-day consoles can handle that much detail in realtime hair/fur/particle systems yet.

I kinda associate DK related stuff with EU/US, DKC being produced by Rare and all, you could say it makes some sense since it isn't a 100% Japanese production.

Not at all. The DK64 rocketbarrels were always used for extended boosts, whereas the Retro jetpack is just a cute little poot of flame. The former is the more practical Smash recovery.
