Doubt it for G&W, but I'm hopeful for the Yosh-meister!

Ah, I knew it was in a direct but I wasn't sure if it was because of that or Dream Team. Gotcha.

Honestly, I expect G&W next month for some reason besides "Ball" having an anniversary.

I don't think so. Unless Wario is wearing his plumber costume, I doubt he would be revealed for a Mario game. Then again, we got Lucario in celebration of Brawl's anniversary, so maybe I'm wrong.

And I do think that there might be a picture referencing Island Tour. Maybe there is a new Mario Party or item or something. Maybe Bigtop & Ballyhoo could be an AT or something.

Next Friday will be 1 year anniversary of Game and Wario in Japan. Maybe Wario will indeed make an appearance.

Tumblrfamous is merely reminding everyone that there is a possibility that Yoshi could potentially be held off for the Japanese release instead, which have generally proven to hold more water in terms of veteran reveals than Western releases, especially since Diddy Kong's reveal could have been done because his Japanese game reveal was more or less taken over by Little Mac for the Direct that came along. So it's probably for the best that we hope Yoshi shows up tomorrow, and not fully expect him, else you might wind up deeply disappointed if he doesn't get revealed. Like practically every other highly expected character reveal that didn't happen in the past... Unless you like that sort of thing, then more power to you I guess.

I would also like to point out that Diddy Kong is a character created in the west and was revealed for a western-developed game, whereas everyone else is Japanese. I don't know if this is significant but just thought it should be noted.

Maybe we care because there's something about character reveals that makes people happy. Even if it's a character we all know is coming back, or one that we never played, it can bring a smile to your face to see another character brought to the ever-growing roster of Smash 4.

I use him in Brawl, I plan to use him for the new games, and I don't even like the Yoshi games that much. And Yoshi isn't a religion sooo...

The flare gun is the reason yoshi was in the shadows for so long is sakurai changed him up as much as bowser (new moveset)

So, my predictions:

Yoshi reveal: 70% chance
another other Veteran reveal: 25% chance
not a playable character reveal: 5%

If it's a character reveal and isn't Yoshi, I think the following are the most likely, in order from most to least likely:

Wario, Zero Suit Samus, Pokemon Trainer, Ice Climbers, Ness, Captain Falcon

Depends on your time zone, but for me in CST it's two. Still not really worth staying up for any reasonably normal individual.

It simply comes down to your region, along with the time zone that your region uses. It's typically not until the overnight hours that North America gets to see the next screenshot.
