Didn't like it. I prefer the GoldenEye 007 style.
So far, I'm not liking any of these redesigns.
Except, maybe, for the Raygun.
This one looks like an alien/animalesque/poisonus thing, rather than a motion sensor bomb.
But that's just me, it seems...

The last filler update was January 17th with the infamous Dedede squishy beak pic so almost two months ago.

E3 is most likely. If they announce it then it'll get a ton of attention. Plus, they have no reason not to.

This makes me very happy. I am a simple person.

I think that a steady 2 characters a month is whats going to happen until E3. I don't see the reveals getting any more frequent though. We will probably just keep it going as it is. Ever since November we have been getting pretty good updates IMO. But I think the biggest increase has been from the New Year. they've been really good since then I don't see them getting any better. (may I also add I'm pessimistic towards the idea of getting better and more frequent updates.)

At least Miiverse serves some kind of function.

The game has more than two years under its belt (started development in Jan/Feb '12) and it will have close to 2 1/2 when E3 rolls around so I imagine the game will go gold shortly before or shortly after E3.

Every character reveal in 2014 has been on a Friday, with the biggest gap between reveals being 3 weeks.

(3 between Dedede and Lucario, 2 between Lucario and Mac, 1 between Mac and Diddy. And tomorrow marks 3 weeks since Diddy.)

I don't wanna fool myself into thinking that Sakurai has slipped into a pattern, but as you all will agree upon, a character tomorrow seems certain. Yoshi is the obvious choice, but then again, it is Sakurai.

My likely scenarios for tomorrow are:

1. Yoshi
2. No character
3. Surprise! Caughtyouwithyourpantsdown reveal.
Either Meta Knight, Falco or ZSS.

I'm sure I'll change my mind sometime within the next 11 hours though.

But I totally agree. Except definitely after E3. Maybe we will get a release date in the April direct after the newcomer reveal... hopes are too high.

There's no way that we would get it in a Miiverse pic though.

I think Yoshi is a fair bet for tomorrow. I mean, yes, he could be revealed for the japanese release date, but if it's a summer date that would imply E3 has already passed. Do we honestly think Yoshi won't make another E3 trailer?

Once again, I was right about the PotD! Bets go on Yoshi tomorrow. Possibly PT, but I doubt it.
I actually like this design very much. Gameplay wise, I hope it's more towards Melee. This and the Perfect Dark one are my two favorites. So far, I like all the redesigns except for the Ray Gun. Looks like Mario geared up at Wal-Mart or something.

Yeah, I'm somewhat hyped to see Yoshi too. . . And I hate Yoshi in Super Smash. I really hope they change some of his moves(doubt it but hey, it's possible). I'm going to laugh if it's someone else or nothing at all. We'd have to wait for Summer to see the green dino.

Kinda doubt it. REALLY doubt it. He was the last of "the original 8" to be revealed prior to Brawl's release, and the only thing given to him was the little air boost during Egg Toss.

It's likely he is held to herald the international YNI release.

I think it's long overdue at this point. We know he's in the game. And there's a game he could promote. Why not reveal him? The next reveal would be in a month or so anyway.

Tumblrfamous is merely reminding everyone that there is a possibility that Yoshi could potentially be held off for the Japanese release instead, which have generally proven to hold more water in terms of veteran reveals than Western releases, especially since Diddy Kong's reveal could have been done because his Japanese game reveal was more or less taken over by Little Mac for the Direct that came along. So it's probably for the best that we hope Yoshi shows up tomorrow, and not fully expect him, else you might wind up deeply disappointed if he doesn't get revealed. Like practically every other highly expected character reveal that didn't happen in the past... Unless you like that sort of thing, then more power to you I guess.

Honestly, no. Spin offs have been pretty much ignored by Sakurai, which would not surprise me if it too goes ignored.

Especially since Wario is wearing his WarioWare duds in Smash, an outfit he only wears in his games, so it wouldn't make sense to have him rep Mario Party/Kart imo.

I don't think so. Unless Wario is wearing his plumber costume, I doubt he would be revealed for a Mario game. Then again, we got Lucario in celebration of Brawl's anniversary, so maybe I'm wrong.

And I do think that there might be a picture referencing Island Tour. Maybe there is a new Mario Party or item or something. Maybe Bigtop & Ballyhoo could be an AT or something.
