But he's actually quite good in 2 games. He just got nerfed in Brawl, like a lot of characters from Melee.

Whether or not he meshes with you well is irrelevant and has no bearings on how good he actually is.
Slight disagreement in that the fact that he's been doing well at tourneys doesn't mean he's somehow good for everyone; just that some people have been getting damn good with him. It's sort of difficult to talk about characters as being "good." It comes down to how much does the character have going for them and how easy is it for a player to take advantage of those things, and with Yoshi, I'd say that it's a matter of him having several things going for him, but not being the easiest to do those thing with.

Which would make him a bad character for me; that's really all I'm driving at. Obviously if others are good with him that makes him a good character for them, but it's not as if he's an insta-win pick or something.

But I'll stress, I merely replied in agreement with the sentiment that I didn't like the character; so I don't know if he was in fact trying to suggest that he is an objectively bad character.

Then why should the character be changed/over hauled because you don't like playing with him?

That pretty much becomes a middle finger to those who actually do like playing him and do good with him, as he is.

Wheather or not he is good for everyone doesn't make him a good or bad characters. He's as good as his best players do with him. And they do pretty well with him, especially AMSA. So he isn't some horrible character or anything like that ends up being perfectly awful.

The fact that you do not like every characters' play-style is a testament to the roster's diversity.

Again, I don't know if Fatmanonice was actually trying to say he thinks he is an objectively bad character, but for my part I'm just saying I don't like him and so I'd much prefer he didn't remain the way he's been. Whether it'd be a middle finger to the people who enjoy him kinda doesn't matter since I have no power to implement whatever changes I'd prefer anyway. It's just one man's opinion on the character here...

I disagree. I disagree a lot.

It matters completely. The fact that you want changed done to him means you want to ruin the character for the people who like to play as it. Whether you have power to implement it or not.

Well I can't imagine how it matters since it literally will not ever affect anyone in any way other than hurt feelings but okay.

I would hurt people's feelings by changing Ganondorf's moveset if I was in charge.

I could be wrong but I think it means he wants the character more fun for himself and his like minded peers. It's also a bit of an overstatement to say it'd ruin the character for people who like to play as is because some might like it better with the changes.

Same goes vice versa for both things you said.

Yeah, 'cause THAT'S what I said haha.
You pretty much said it isn't bad to hurt someone's feeling.

And the opposite of bad means it good.

It's quite a simple conclusion to draw.

Because the world is as black and white as all that.
If someone's getting their feelings hurt over something like this, no, I don't think it's all that bad a thing; but I would never specifically do something to hurt someone's feelings.

Like the other two guys mentioned, this is just a change I'd want to make for me and people who think like me I guess. Of course people would disagree with that opinion, but that's just kind of life isn't it?

So...about the pic of the day. I'm thinking an item/pokeball pokemon. I'm going to go with the failed prediction from last week and say that we will be seeing Snorlax.

Not necessarily, let me school ya for a second sunny. The first part "he wants the character more fun for himself and his like minded peers." I'm assuming the vice versa for you would be "he wants the character less fun for you and your like minded peers.", correct? We can't conclusively say the reverse at all. When thinking about the changes to the character he's taking into consideration what he likes to see not necessarily what others might not like to see. Of course what he likes to see might be what someone else would not like but that's simply a side effect of having a different viewpoint. He is not intentionally isolating said person who wants something else, he's simply doing the human thing and identifying and suggesting the thing that he wants. If possible, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, he would please everyone.

The second part doesn't make sense because of the key word I used some. Some does not mean nor imply all or a large portion of the particular group, it just means a faction of it would support the changes. That inherently means that others would not and/or would be indifferent. Saying vice versa is simply being redundant.

Considering how I was practically killing myself to stay up last night, I was considering skipping today....but the EVO/MLG news has me so pumped I have to stay up now.

I'm placing another chip on alternate color schemes. Even if it's not tonight, I feel that pic of the day upon us. Four Marios of various colors, with the caption telling us that your team in Team Battle no longer forces you into that color scheme.

I'd like a pic of Kirby hats or alt colour/costume changes for any character, one of these days...

We won't get a character tonight.

We will get Yoshi tomorrow though.

Here's hoping the update isn't as late as it was yesterday.

I don't have to work tomorrow, but I'd still like to catch up on some sleep.

JIGGLYPUFF AND YOSHI IN A ROW PLZ

Not predicting that. Just sharing my hopes and dreams for the night.

I'm assuming we'll either get an item, a move update, or something totally insignificant.

Well technically you can't say we won't because you don't know 100% for certain Yoshi's getting confirmed friday.
Why on earth would he be confirmed on Thursday?

I'd be stunned if we don't get Yoshi on Friday. Not only is it a good time to reveal him, but his reveal is also long, long overdue.
