Today I sat in the 52nd District Court jury assembly room for 2 hours only to have the judge come in and tell us that "all of the trials have been resolved." Feels good man.

I've put together what I think is the optimal schedule for The Big House 2:

Saturday
10am Venue Opens
12pm Doubles Bracket
3pm Singles Pools Wave 1
6pm Singles Pools Wave 2
9pm Crew Battle / Exhibition Matches
11pm Venue Closes

Sunday
10am Venue Opens
12pm Singles Bracket (should be done by 5pm)
7pm Venue Closes

I'm still concerned the two-day schedule will deter attendance from some areas. But there's just no way I want to run a 100+ person tourney in one day again. This schedule would allow everyone to drive back home comfortably on Sunday evening. What do people think?

Then that makes 10 then. What a beast you are.

Is BDubs going to happen after the tourney? I have never had the chance to go with everyone before. The one in East Lansing screwed us over last time with their silly 21+ rule.

BDubs post tourney is a must, per tradition

Edit: Last time we still ended up at the BDubs in Ann Arbor after that East Lansing ordeal

I don't think post-tourney Bdubs is a good idea this weekend. Unless you like to dodge cups and plates thrown by angry, drunk people. I'd recommend the burger place just north of the venue, but that's just me *shrugs*

Forgot about St. Patty's and the fact that we're not at Mason this time

Andy, let me know how it goes vs Teczero..

Hopefully you do better than 1-20 vs him in friendlies, like I did the other day

(the 1 was against his Ice Climbers)

Hey guys, I'm gonna be visiting UMich for a conference 28th-31st and will be staying in a hotel fairly close to the University.
Anyone wanna play Melee or Project M with me?

There's gonna be a Melee tourney on the 31st on Central Campus. A thread with details is coming right after this weekend.

Hmm, looks like I'm gonna be leaving on the morning of the 31st so that likely won't work.
If anyone can play some friendlies before then I'd be down, once I know what my schedule is like.

Cool, thnx!
Offhand I would say the 28th or evening of the 30th is my best bet for any sort of smash.
The conference is the 30th and I'm attending a Symposium the day before. I'm arriving the 28th but I may want to explore campus and get to know the other presenters instead.

Anyone from AA want to travel to this EL Smashfest tonight?

Let me know by 6:30pm, if nobody is down I still might man up and drive there myself.

Hey, I was wondering, is it possible for Oakland County smashfests to be at places where we can simply meet up and not just at someones house?

Like how AA has the game room, Mason, etc.

/currently desperate to play vs humans and not CPUs.

In all seriousness, such a place doesn't exist without paying a rental fee EVERY time we hold a smashfest (unless someone has a hook up/knows someone). And even then you run into the problem of how many people show up, if it's even worth it to hold one if there's a fee every time.

It's just a lot easier to host one at someone's place.

Most people here will most definitely be playing on the 30th. We'll be in contact.
Alright, if someone on or near campus could host that would be best, unless someone can give me a ride.
I should be done around 8PM but I prolly shouldn't stay TOO late.
Not gonna lie, I'm hyped, haven't played anyone OOS since Axe and Tai came to Austin last April.
