I've been able to get through this without any help so far but I think I'm stuck now.

I'm at 99% and was just told that if I go forward I won't be able to go back. So I'm definatley at the end now. I have all the tanks and 250 missles so I think I have "everything". But I looked through the maps and don't see a white dot for the last item.

The only area I haven't been too or at least don't think I've is a square on Bryyo above the thorn jungle airdock. How do I get there?

Uhhh. You should have 255 missiles. Do you have the map for the pirate homeworld? Go back to the chozo observatory on Elysia and use the x-ray visor with the nova beam to shoot past that little phazite plate that's on the bomb sized opening of the reactor in the middle of the room. Also you won't get a map for Valhalla so make sure you got all the missles from there. I think you get 2 missile upgrades from the Valhalla.

Yes I have the pirate map so the upgrade I'm missing must be from Valhalla.Which is the only place I don't have a map for. :/

I dont know how to do the anti spoiler thing either. However if you have 250 missiles and if you can't find the last white dot, then the missile is in either two places. First it might be in the valhalla although if you have beaten it completely then you probably have that one. The second place is in BRYO IN THE ICE WORLD. You can't bring up the map unless you actually go there I believe. The ice world has like 3 or 4 rooms but it has two missile expansions and one energy tank. Check the map for Ice BRYO carefully

dude, that's good advice, i never would've thought of that. Though once you're there you do get the white dots, so if you go there it shouldn't be too hard to find anything.

I knew it wasn't on the ice world because I had already been there. It was on Valhalla like I suspected. I just put on the

Now that I beat the game I can see what the heck you guys have been talking about.

Oh yeah, my final time was 16:35 which suprised me becase I felt like I spent a lot of time just wandering around.

The only time I died was with the 1st seed boss, the one with the red spheres, I tought u had to take him down using hypermode, meaning only phazon attacks can take down the spheres, after I died for over use of HM I found out I can take them down with normal beam...

Most of the bosses were really easy. I only struggled on the final boss. Sometimes people catch onto the quick victory tactics, and I don't. Other times, it is reversed. I've beaten certain games bosses that I thought were a breeze, but everyone else thought the boss was insanely difficult. I guess personality comes into play here. >_<

Just died for the first time vs the red balls dude. What a lamer. I got 2 generators but he was just wearing me down, and I really didn't pick up enough health in the beginning. Fun game anyway.

I died twice, once on the first boss for overusing hypermode and then for being dumb and thinking the acid rain wouldn't hurt that much... >.<

Two words: ****** Batteries. I spent a bunch on the expansions in the ruins of the ship, and it cost me sooo much time. Great game though.

I found on the last form the easiest way to deal lots of damage was to fire as many shots as you could at it while it was doing the spin attack. after like two hits it would be stunned just as if you had shot the thing that came down under the head when it was in the air, but the stun lasted like ten times longer. It reminded me of the first boss in LoZ: OoT. You were supposed to shoot its eyer when it turned red adn hit it while stunned. Then it would go to the ceiling and lay eggs which you had to kill. However i discoverd that when it started laying eggs it's eye turned red, so you could shoot it down and it would be stunned for an insanely long time, enoguh to kill it on the first time.

I got killed by the acid rain once too, every other time it didn't seem like it did that much damage...
Almost at the end. I'm right before the final seed, just trying to get all of the scans and expansions.

Is G.F.S. Valhalla actually mandatory in beating the game? I just finished that area and am wondering what I got at the end of it is necessary or not.

Yes. Part of it is mandatory, you get something called the pirate code, which lets you take control of the leviathan and go to the planet phazze where dark samus is

Y34HDUD3!!!, I think enemies just have a lot more health and enter Hypermode more.

It's just more difficult - you take more damage and the enemies are harder to kill.

As far as I know, that's it. Although I could be wrong since I haven't even started hyper mode yet.

I've always felt that Metroid Primes' higher difficulty setting is the way the game is meant to be played. The fights need to be scary and hard to win. The easy modes just Samus seem like a freakin' goddess (even though she is). ^_^

I completley agree. I love playing Hypermode and dying every 15 or so min., It really makes me feel like I have to be good to win.

hypermode is fun. every enemy tries to enter hypermode after like 5 seconds. you basically have to stay in hypermode most of the game to stay alive.

On a similar note, if anyone here's played the original Metroid, did you guys just memorize a choreography for all the variants of each kind of room and just explore, like I did, or was it reaction time and skill?
