Would his worst stage be Pipes?

Rainbow Cruise and Luigis Mansion are his best Counter Pick stages. Delfino Plaza is his best overall stage. I personally like to Counter Pick Frigate Orpheon on other Meta Knight mains as well.

I'm also starting to assume that Castle Siege would be a fantastic Meta Knight stage, but I need to play it out more to come to a conclusion on that.

MK ***** on Norfair.

His worst stage is probably FD. Even though Melee Yoshi's Island is legal, who the hell actually plays on that stage? >_>

MK is good on FD, IMO.

I think his worst stage is shadow moses island. It favors heavy characters, and we all know MK is light as hell.

MK is still good on FD. He's just worse there compared to battlefield or lylat.

My main two counterpicks are rainbow cruise and luigi's mansion. Both are very good for MK. Delfino plaza and BF are good too.

Melee Yoshi's island is probably his worst, but I've never actually had someone CP that on me before.
Shadow Moses isnt a legal stage...

MK can do fine on FD, but if he's gonna have a tougher time there if he's fighting characters like Falco and Diddy.

FD is not a stage disadvantage for MK. Yes, platforms are good for MK. However, plenty of space to edgegaud and a good stage bottom to spike against are big benefits to his gimping game.
It may not be a good stage against characters who REALLY like it, like ROB, Falco, and Diddy, but that's simply a matter of it being a better stage for those charcters, rather than a bad one for MK.

FD is debatable, the reason i say it's one of the worst is because more characters have bigger advantages on it than he does. The fact that it is so huge doesn't help, along with the lack of platforms. I should have been more clear with my statement.

Has his Meta game advanced enough for some of these posts to no longer be true, or are his best stages still Luigi's Mansion, Rainbow Cruise, Delfino Plaza, and battlefield?

I don't see why people say FD is bad for MK. I pick it all the time and do just fine.

Rainbow Cruise is usually the best. Luigi's Mansion is also good against certain characters, as everyone has said. Also, Sky World is good against some of MK's hardest matchups if you use it right. Jungle Japes can be handy against characters that fall quicky, especially DDD. Additionally, Frigate Orpheon can be an effective counterpick. Norfair is only good against characters with decent recoveries. FD isn't bad for MK unless it's against Falco or Diddy or R.O.B..

Yoshi's Island (melee) is probably his worst (unless Mario Circuit is allowed, which it shouldn't be IMO), but some characters do really well against MK on Pictochat.

How is Delfino Plaza a good MK stage when MK can't stage spike anyone there?
Also, wtf? Rainbow Cruise? If MK uses his specials on that stage he'll free fall to death.

I'd say mushroom kingdom 1 and 2, especially 2, are his best stages because shuttle loop and tornado are SO good on that stage.

For Delfino, I wouldn't say it's one of his best, but it is pretty good, at least against some characters. MK can "shark" by waiting under the stage and coming up through it with a shuttle loop or uairs or nairs. He has the jumps to really abuse that.

Also, some characters "cough* Falco and Fox *cough* are really not fans of the platform for recovering.

As for Rainbow Cruise, MK can recover like a champ even without abusing his specials. I never find suicide there to be a big problem.

For anyone without a great recovery/air game, like Snake, for example, it's a godsend.

Mushroomy is banned for good reason. Don't bother talking about there.

I think Lylat, Battlefield and Smashville are pretty good MK stages as far as the neutrals or non-gay stages are concerned. Oh yeah, and Delphino!
O.O M2K! and you spelled Delfino wrong xD. i dont like playing in lylat cruise because...idk, its just so like irregular and bumpy (IMO). i like battlefield and smashville :D

actually, i think people with reflectors pwn there because turtle = OHKO and they can throw them and reflect them back :\
Other pipes, my friend.

I believe the fact that Pipes is a bad stage for MK is the primary reason the SBR OK'd it for tourney play. If that doesn't say anything about it, I don't think anything will.

Why do you think that's the primary reason? The stage isn't broken, even with DDD's f*gg*try.

I simply don't see how MK is bad at pipes.

Have you MK's learned it yet? I see what the BR was thinking, he can be killed early on the sides, and his amazing aerial game isn't as viable in the cramped lower area, and vertical kills are much easier to deal with when you are worrying about a teching opponent.

But on the same token, with the protected ledge on the left side, all MK does is get an advantage and set up camp. Then, his gimping and SL are deadly at really low damage. A slope camping opponent can be nado -> retreat-ed carefully and effectivly, and dashgrab -> d/f thow owns with the sliding effect, on either side.

I think you have to look your opponent and choose a bad stage for him ^^
if he plays diddy, pick norfair
if he plays a bad recovery char maybe orpheon

and so on ;)
