finally got around to finding those shield colour offsets again. here they are, along with other misc stuff. my final gift to the community, i think. enjoy!

The following offsets are found in the PlCo.dat file. The colours are in RR GG BB format, experiment with the colour combinations! I posted some pictures of example colour changes below.

CEB8-CEBA: p1 Shield Colour
CEBC-CEBE: p2 Shield Colour
CEC0-CEB2: p3 Shield Colour
CEC4-CEC6: p4 Shield Colour


CECC-CECE: p1 Death Flash Colour

2 things.

Can anyone post a link to an unmodified Dreamland texture? I tried with every damned texture around and all just freeze my melee.
Is possible to use the Widescreen Code by InternetExplorer in a Wii?

Can someone give me a 2 digit / 3 digit color combination for transparency other than FC 1F / FF00FF? I have a texture that uses a lot of magenta already, and it would make parts of it disappear.

Edit: Never mind, figured it out.

I'm working on a seperate script for animations, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to release it by dev5 :/

hey guys, i was fooling arounf with teh Adenture mode, and i came up with an idea.

maybe someone might have figured this out before, but how about making Zelda`s dungeon mini-platforms selectable?



i mean, it wide enough, has some platforms, nice edges, depth, and so on.

do you think it is viable or too much work?

Basically, I want it so that all of the music files in game are changed to songs from this album. It is extremely important to me that I have this available by EVO 2013, within the assumption that I'll be attending.

Also, I would request that the opening video be changed to this.

Can ANYONE help me with this at all?

I finally have a working copy of Melee off of my USB
NO ISO NEEDED ^o^

it's literally the files themselves on the USB, and is alot like Brawl Hacking :)

So... what's the latest on getting models extracted and converted with bone and weighting data?

Hard to believe a game that's this popular and nearly a dozen years old hasn't been busted wide open by now.

they can be extracted, but that's about it...

the relocation table still has me stammered, but I think that'll get figured out once I get back to work on the script...


tbh, I havn't been able to look much into Melee's format...
I've been too busy re-designing UMC with the systems it was ment to have...
there's still alot of highly complex (to the peak of complexity) work that needs to be done just to make the release...
especially with the new animation system...

I may as well be writing 3 emulators in one. :srs:

truthfully I've been working on the GUI more than anything right now...

I'm currently having trouble getting fonts to display...
but I think that'll change once I've implamented this new system ;)

it's another complex system like the drawing management which will manage font-display-lists for widgets...

instead of generating an image for a particular string of text,
generate an image for each character of a particular font at a particular size, and test for re-call so we don't re-create what we already have.

this should speed up the GUI by alot, cause once everything's created, it's only referenced...
and modified only when it's needed to be...


the old GUI would just simply clear and redraw everything per frame, instead of re-using the data like now...


EDIT2:
sorry... guess I got a little OT there... :p

considering we can now hack Melee a little more like Brawl,
figuring out the formatting should be a HECK of alot easier ;)


I must warn though, it's not like Gecko.

DO NOT REMOVE YOUR USB WHILE THE GAME IS RUNNING
it WILL freeze.

this is because Gecko runs the ISO and loads existing files off the drive.

with this, there is no ISO to load...
the game's run-time is your USB.
if you remove it, you remove the run-loop and it crashes.

Somebody anybody please help me to fix this problem. Aside from some minor things, this is the last thing I really need to do for my ISO. I've done this CSP like 5 times already and it everything I've checked seems to be identical to my working CSPs. I've tried changing TYPE2 to RGB565 and TYPE to CI4 with no success. If you can solve this problem I'll be your best friend.:awesome:

Can someone direct me toward the post that described how to embed action replay codes into an iso file or msg me with some info about it?
There used to be a topic, but it seems like they all got purged when the forums were relocated, or whatever was going on back then. ): Bummer.
Basically, you'd just go through the Start.dol and change some values. I didn't write down any of it, so I don't know what can or cannot be changed...

So yeah, been a long time since I've gone thru. Wonder if there's been any big changes? :)

The difference of language.
.usd is for English (US version's default) and .dat is for Japanese.

This may sound like a very noobish question, but where can I find the textures for the HUD display?

edit, not so noobish: So I've been taking in the information for SSM hacking from GodFed's article and I had a lightbulb moment. Since all of the data is together and all of the headers are together, is it possible to modify the header of the correct DSP in the SSM to allow longer SFX?

I don't think anybody's ISO would be truly complete without this.

Edit: A note for HACKED ISOs:
You MUST recompile the ISO for the video to work. You cannot simply use GC-Tool to replace, as the WOMBO COMBO is larger. UNHACKED ISOs do not have this problem.

Edit Too: Updated the archive with Steelia's resized HPS. Shouldn't be much of a problem now for hacked ISOs deleting one of their hacked HPS's.

Edit Tree: With the 30 > 60 frames problem fixed, Hacked isos WILL likely need to rid of something in their iso to insert this. Again, unhacked isos will not have this problem.
