Thank you Based Mimi.
I talk to my opponent and the crowd when I'm playing, whether or not they respond... it just helps me with my nerves I think.

I bring my ipod so that I can listen to Dreamland but it's usually already playing.

*chuckles*

I haven't yet tried to play a match with someone with music on, but I'd rather not. I just like the ingame sounds, and can't be without them. If I'm practicing tech skill, I find that the Arctic Monkeys work surprisingly well for me (when they're being loud and obnoxious lol).

I don't talk when I play. Well, not usually. If I drop a combo (which I always do) I'll mutter something, or maybe say something semi-loudly. Sometimes I'll pause the game. I'm really random with my reactions. But I try not to talk.

I don't listen to any music at tourneys... I prefer to talk to people.

When I'm practicing by myself, I'll often listen to hardstyle stuffs.
Also a lot of deathmetal.

When playing my Pichu, I like listening to viking metal. ("WolfChant" in particular)

I prefer turning off the in-game music and just have the sound effects, then put on my own music. I'm really done with DL64 music forever.

I tried that for a while, but a friend of mine found it creepy, so I was like, "Whatever." But I think it enriches the experience.

Amidst the abounding light of heaven!
Since the music has a large effect on my gameplay, I've been wondering how this would work for me.
I really don't know if I'm seeing results or not but Live Life (sonic atBK) > Biggest Dreamer (EU ver) > LoZ Theme (SC2 ver) > Thanatos (SC4) for my gameplay. Seems odd really since I play so fast and aggressive that the calmer songs should work better.

Also, Final Countdown and Eye of the Tiger screw me over no end.

But DL64 music is the best...

I can agree with keeping the sound effects though, without them the game just doesn't work.
