QFT. Sora=sings under the sea in full mermaid gear. As much as I love Kingdom Hearts, he's basically a Disney character. He has no chance, and he'd be sort of a waste. Megaman on the other hand is very deserving! >_< 10 million units sold to 30 million units sold. You do the math.
I understand Megaman's demand, but he was in a different era of games. His 30 million units date back to the early days of gaming; Kingdom Hearts had just a little over five-six years. That's still impressive.

Sorry for being a bit vague.

Mega Man supporters, do not lose faith just because of this recent turn of events...

*Initiate Flashback*

The date is March 29th 2007.
IGN performs an interview with the COO and President of SEGA Europe, Laurent Fischer
The interview has nothing to do with Smash... but instead is about SEGA's "Mario and Sonic at the Olympics"

http://wii.ign.com/articles/776/776878p1.html

Heres the important part from that Interview....

IGN: Does this [Sonic & Mario at the Olympics] pave the way for Sonic and Mario starring together in other games?

Laurent Fischer: We've spent a long time finalising this one and we're not thinking about the next game, just yet. The Olympics just seemed like the right way to bring them together.

IGN: So we won't see Sonic appearing in Super Smash Bros. Brawl?

Laurent Fischer: That's not on the cards at the moment.

*Fast Forward to October 10th, 2007*

Sure there may be a time gap from March until October... but we have no idea how long ago the interview with Inafune was done, and we still have no idea why Inafune said No Comment at the Mega Man Anniversary Festival. We have no idea on SO many different factors, its not even worth listing them all...

I said this earlier... but I'm going to say it again;

If it's not on the Dojo... It's not confirmed true!

I welcome another delay for his inclusion.
I'd take no Mega over another delay any day of the week.

Seriously...>_>

I feel bad though. Megaman's really the only other third party (not counting Geno) that deserves to be in Brawl.

Tis a shame. I'm not giving up hope until the game's out, though.

So you're horribly biased against him then?

And you're horribly biased toward him.

See I can make random claims too.

By the way. My first post was not bashing Geno at all. Dunno why a bunch of his fanboys went into attack mode.

So would I. What is two months to Sonic not in Brawl=??? What is two months to Megaman not in Brawl=???

But Nya isn't a source.

Inafune is.
LOL. Seriously, never take a source that isn't the dojo, or has a "real" link/proof to it.

Just because its classic doenst mean its not true.

By that logic, Newton's 3 laws of motion are wrong.

I'm just making fun of the bandwagon sheep anyway.

And i have no idea how Geno was so high on the poll, he's a completely stupid character.
Cuz' he's popular. 80% of the characters in smash thus far are in it because they are popular outside of it. The other 20% are retro characters. Geno is BOTH!

I understand Megaman's demand, but he was in a different era of games. His 30 million units date back to the early days of gaming; Kingdom Hearts had just a little over five-six years. That's still impressive.

I like Sora (though like, not love like I do with Megaman), but quite frankly he's wierd. Kingdom Hearts is amazing though. Still...Megaman is a classic, and Sora is...well...not even probably going to be in the next two Kingdom Hearts games! XD

I jump to nothing. I always walk.
WALKING! HAHA, that was good!

WHAT?! NOOOOO! I'm happy if Mega Man was going to be in his Star Force/EXE form, but if he was going to be classic....NO!
Classic Mega Man will make it. It's not over until Jan 24.....:)

Why is geno the only other guy the "deserves" to be in brawl. HE WAS A ****ING SIDEKICK IN ONE GAME.

Did i play this game: yes

did i like geno: yes

but why does this make him a "deserving" character in brawl over well known characters such as pacman and bomberman.

I see you're missing the point entirely again.

For one, I'll bother responding that I've never even played Super Mario RPG. Sure, Geno is cool, whatever, I hold no nostalgic feelings towards him at all.

Second, what I said wasn't a random claim. If you say "I don't know how he ended up high on the list, he's stupid", that shows your argument is based on bias, not facts. Facts such as that he ended up high on the list regardless of your opinion of him.

Heres the thing though, Sora is the future..Megaman is the past..I'm not against Megaman, he is awsome, but his last couple of games have been crap..well actually the majority of his games are crap now.. but he is a classic.
And if you read Samuraipanda's Sora thread, you would know that Sakurai wants what is popular now, people in japan are useing Sora's hair look etc, KH is very popular over there..megaman..not so much.

I don't really care.

This argument is dumb.

Because those 2 characters were not in Sakurai's journal where Geno & Megaman were and Sakurai has expressed interest in Geno & Megaman.

Also: did the guy who said Megaman will not be in Brawl create megaman?

if anyone is basing Megaman not being in brawl based off that interview then their a tad bit dumb. if u dont know the date it was done then please dont make assumptions. people always seem to know something on here without even having enough concrete evidence.

If I was Capcom i wouldnt want the general public to know he was in. especially from an interview. I clearly remember people doubting soinc would be in. now there excuse would be oh he was kinda dodgy about the whole thing. why be dodgy when you can just say no. If Sakurai is smart which he has already proved thus far, then Megaman will be in brawl and all the people who said he wouldnt will feel salty.

I know i may sound out of place saying this but the original Megaman is exactly like samus. . . how can you make a move set with the old megamna without it looking like a clone of Samus, I know the NT warrior version can be unique but to me .... TO ME the original Megaman would be too much of a clone of Samus

Sega said Sonic was "not in the cards"...

Well, anyway, if this rumour's true, then I wouldn't really care a whole bunch... More room for Simon Belmont.

Based on what? That they both have a charge shot? Seriously?

Try playing a classic Mega Man game before you say something so ridiculous. Any of them.

HAHA

YOU USED THE INTERNET!

but aside from stupid assumptions like that, I still stress out that megaman is not deconfirmed. Everytime you say megaman is deconfirmed(or that he's a samus clone), you make super saiyan link angry.

Megaman could have stuff like.. that cutter shot thing..

Or ice shot..

Or bomb shot..

Or the tons of other shots he stole from his enemies.

DSKJGSKLGSGKJS;GJKLDG WHAT?!

Okay, seriously. Mega Man is in no way a clone of Samus. That's a dumb excuse, I'm sorry but it's just is.

Can Mega Man roll into a ball? Not really. Can he roll into a ball and drop small bombs? Nope...
Can Samus copy abilities from defeated foes? Definitely no. Can she slide? Uh, not from what I know but she doesn't have that in the SSB games.

Also, given that Mega Man has used over 80+ weapons in the classic series all together, it is VERY easy to make up a moveset that isn't a clone. Also, Mega Man's charge move can work different from Samus. He can walk while charing up his buster just like in his games. There's seriously no way that Mega Man would be a Samus clone. If you haven't...go play the games, man.

And saying the NT Warrior version is more unique is...not true. His weapons are as varied as what Mega Man has in the classic games.

Sorry for sounding harsh (wasn't really intended) but I'm really baffled at the fact people would think he'd be a samus clone.

Inafune is the creator of Megaman, sure, but I see no reason why Capcom itself couldn't just use the character without his consent. Shigeru Miyamoto is the creator of Mario, but that doesn't stop Nintendo from using him in crappy spinoff games.

And why is everyone acting like this is a deconfirmation? We should never take any information outside the Dojo as fact.
Probably one of the more sane and on-topic post on this topic.

However, if it's a legit video from outside the Dojo, it can also be fact.
