I'll wait til the day he's either revealed or the roster itself is revealed. I think possible that Inafune would have said that just to cover up things. I'm not being too hopeful though, either way Brawl will still kickass. There's just way more than enough stuff in Brawl that makes up for it.

I don't kinda get what's with the Mega Man hate in this topic though. But I do understand that some of the fanboys do get severely annoying about Mega Man's support. (Like ones that whines about every update not being Mega Man related.)

But if Megaman isn't in Brawl, I think Geno's chances will go WAYYYY down, because Nintendo only really "needs" Sonic. Snake is a extra, and so would Megaman.

I don't feel like arguing but I gotta point out that "Not on our cards at the moment" is different from saying hes not in and it was SEGA of europe who said that (Who wouldn't know) and not the person who owns the rights to sonic. Also, the not on our cards thing got big right when the interview was released, not 4 months after. You made that up. I was neutral about him anyways.

Somehow... I get this sinking suspicion that Inafune is just toying with us.

As many other members on the boards have said; Mega Man is pretty much the most deserving 3rd party character to get in. I won't really divulge into that, but even though its arguable, lets just take it for fact and not get into an argument of who is the most deserving 3rd party characters to be in Brawl.

I do want to point out though, that there are a variety of things which give me this strange feeling about the way Inafune responded to the Podcast commentary.

Firstly; I believe it was back during the Mega Man Anniversary festival where Inafune was asked the exact same question that he was asked in the podcast. His answer then was "no comment" specifically. Now... I'm not focusing on what exactly no comment meant, but I am focusing on why he said no comment at the festival, as opposed to where he blurted out that Nintendo hasn't contacted them in a BIONIC COMMANDO podcast. He mentions in the podcast that he hopes Nintendo hears him in this podcast... Why would he say this kind information in a tiny podcast as opposed to a GRAND EVENT like the Mega Man 20th Anniversary Festival? It just seems so strange to me.... I'm sure I am not alone on this.

Secondly; Although probably insignificant, we're nearing Christmas... A lot of speculation and predictions have been going around saying that the character drought will end near then, and a huge revelation will be revealed sometime near Christmas/New Years. Theres also some "Prophets" going around various boards saying that a new 3rd party character will be revealed in the next 10 days. Chances are they are lying, but I'm a very "Innocent until Proven guilty" type of person, so I let them say their thing and wait patiently. But either way, just put yourself in Inafunes shoes, KNOWING that Mega Man is already in Brawl. If Mega Man is in, and will be announced near Christmas, and he has a Podcast asking him if it'll be in a few days prior to the day it would be announced.... I think I would yank on everyones chain too!

Thirdly; Does anyone else but me find it strange how Inafune thinks Smash Brawl is "not going to be released for another few months". This leads me to believe that This Podcast may have been recorded at an earlier date than posted... I have no idea though, as I have not listened to the Podcast. It could also be that the interview was done prior to the actual podcast as well. Either that or jeez Inafune does not know how Video Games are mad (Which I highly doubt... he has been in the industry since it began)


and last but not least... the cardinal rule which we all should follow;

If it's not on the Dojo... It's not confirmed true!

Good point. Dojo=fact. I remeber people pulling the "Sonic in Brawl is not on our plate" as a Sonic deconfirmatoin. While that is NOWHERE AS DRASTIC as this. Still, that was made 2 1/2 weeks ago or so?
