Give prizes to a couple lower people (like second and third get their money back or something), so it doesn't boil down to handing money to the best player in the room. I'd love to run some round robin pools or something, to get people to play new faces and actually let some people get better at this game.

I'd rather make these about increasing the ability of the community and playing new people, instead of traditional tournament shenanigans. We get enough of that at tournaments.

Basically, the people who think they can come in first want to make tournaments, and the other people would rather save their money. You'd be more likely getting people to put money down on crews where there's a relatively even chance of making some money.

Peach, the way to learn to play more gay!

I like the idea of crew tournies though. Best given captains, do a paper,rock,dynamite with a cuttable wick game then pick alternating teams. That would definitely give a little more competition and fun for the lower skilled players.

I actually like the idea of crews best, that way at least half of the people who come make 2-3$ and lots of trash talking.

But I don't mind Round Robin either.

Peach can go a lot farther from the edge than I originally though, providing you remember to properly float without wasting your double jump.
