I don't know about friday. I'll take the date out of the first post until I know for sure.

Last night was completely ridiculous. It was like a full tournament minus maine.

I like how it's picking up, Tuesdays are oddly ok for me somehow. I don't think I'll be going to Fridays though if they have it.

Yeah, the fact that it was so sudden is why I'm leaning towards not going. I'm not sure if enough have seen the update.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm free monday.

But you should come to this tonight. I'm 80% sure I'm going at this point, I just need to get the car for the night.

Yep, you did. GG.

That round robin was the best use of $2 ever. I did learn to CP DL64 against fox though, for some reason it worked.

That's weird. DL64 is a terrible Marth stage.

Round robin was fun. We should do more of them. And I'm not just saying that 'cause I won.

DL64 worked because I had room to move around, I wasn't playing fast enough to keep up with fox on smaller stages. It's not like I combo anyways, so the stage didn't mess with me too much.

BTW Zoso or Arc, teach me to play marth better. Namely, what combos with what. I don't remember any of that ****.

I just think DL64 hurts Marth's platform game too much. Also, I don't like giving Fox lots of room to roam free.

Comboing is mostly a mixture of tech skill and experience. Generally speaking, you should hit them up. As their percent gets higher, unspaced fairs and bairs will bring them back down to stage level. Ideal finisher would obviously be a tipper, but anything that puts them off the stage (which is where you want them) is good. Grabs can help extend your combos, but you won't be able to do much from them at higher percents unless you're confident in your tech chasing or you can trick their DI or something. If you grab them at around 100-120%, uthrow > nair at least puts them off the stage.

Just kill a level 1 Fox on FD for awhile.

I don't really plan my combos out :/

It's basically what Zoso said, do stuff that will pop them up and just juggle them from there until you can get them off the stage.

The matchup is HUGELY based on your ability to predict and get grabs and to rack % from that. I just have general ideas of when to uptilt and that's about it.

Your main issue IMO is you don't know how to keep pressure on. Like you get a fair hit or dash attack, and if you miss or they tech away you just go back to running away. When you really need to try to keep on top of Fox until he can get away.

I'll be going Tuesday.

Roman, just don't play me at all before the Round Robin and you will beat me. :D

I'm not 100% sure I'm going tomorrow, I have to pack stuff up to move. I've also played waaaaay too much smash lately.

I'm saying that playing smash 2-3 times a week for several hours is a lot of smash for me.

Odds are I'll show up late, if at all. I also realize that 90% of the people who are there won't read this because they are already at GU. Whee.
