How awesome would the sequel to Melee have been if they just made it similar to MvC2 with teams of 3 with the same physics engine? I can only imagine...

I'm amazed that your execution is good enough for Spiral/Sent traps and you've been playing the same amount of time as me.

Ahh, I KNEW it was team Duc, but he uses Cable instead of Capcom. I think Capcom would be a better choice anyways because sent/capcom is too gay.

I have a stick, and it took me 2 hours + in practice mode I probably can't do it anymore, I only played it for about 30 hours total tops. That and my friends immediately soft banned me from doing that **** after I got it in practice mode.

I tried playing mag, but he is way to hard to learn I spend like 1-2 hours and I got the Rom Infinate going for like 3 reps and that was my best shot at it.

The spiral sentinal traps are easy man, just learn how to quickly summon the swords, and just do what they do in the video, and it works pretty well I have commando on my team for when I mess up.

Some people think Cable and Magneto > Storm/Sent but I don't see why.

Because they are the best starters and people always see them doing stuff, when sentinel is just always in the back helping, and whenever storm jumps on the field they just she her jumping around, when she is really just building meter like chunlee in third strike .

My team has done decent, but I am still not able to defeat him...

So...what, is the best team Storm/ Sentinel/ Magneto according to above or what?

MSP is probably the best team at the highest level, but it's almost impossible to play that well.

Santhrax (storm/sent/capcom) looks like a relatively easy (in Marvel terms anyways) team to play that's also crazy good.

2 very good characters without a lot of inherent weaknesses and the best assist for getting you out of trouble.

Yea dude, use Santhrax. It's a really really easy team to use, and you've got the Storm/Sent DHC which can completely kill an opposing character. If you suck at using Commando like I do you can always use Team Matrix (Storm/Sent/Cyclops).

@Minato: Dude you should try using Ruby Heart in one of your teams. She is so sick bro. I use Ruby A/Ironman B/ Doom A and the DHC potential is just amazing. You can also fill the screen up with a lot of stuff (Phantome, Sublimation, Photon Shots) to do good chip. Once I figure out the Ruby/Doom trap I'll switch Doom to his rock assist.

I never used DHC much, only when I needed to switch out characters in a hurry to save them.

But yeah, Ruby's DHC is nice since the treasure chest still stays on the field. I need to mess around with that more.

I don't know anyone who uses it but I heard its banned, odds are its only soft banned aka people look at you, and shake there heads.

And I only look at people and shake my head if they pick anybody from Street Fighter, except Cammy, or Charlie's AAA.

I was doing most of that Ruby stuff when that tutorial 1st came out. Some of it is kinda hard (picking assists and ball super combos) but she has beast potential.

Greatest fighting games all belong to Capcom, Guilty Gear is awesome but it's dying due to AC+ being the last GG fighting game.
And I haven't played Arcana Heart yet.

But we're finally getting a revival in the Fighting genre.

This year, consoles got/will get: Street Fighter IV, Tekken 6, Blazblue, and King of Fighters XII, and Arcana Heart 2.

Last year we got Tatsunoko VS Capcom on consoles.

Everything except Marvel, 3s and ST (HDR counts since it's just another SF2 installment)
What other big names are there, KOF and GG, and in many cases I can bring up GG among smashers and they know what I'm talking about but not for KOF.
SF4 is another game to add to the all-star fighter line-up, TvC would be too if it was on the PS2.

The new line-up would basicly be: MvC2, 3s, HDR, SF4, TvC, and BB
KOF XII looks cool, but nowhere near as promising considering the fact that SNK has a cult following in their fighting games. Same could be said for AH2, though it's growing significantly.

Capcom runs the fighting game community so always expect their stuff to take priority.
Plus, I'm really not into 3D fighters.

Yeah there are more titles coming out but there's still not as many smash tourneys, which is like a double-edged sword since I love both genres. ****ing step it up. I wish smashers played more FG's and SRK-rooted hosts need to host smash in their events, but that's gonna be in my perfect world.

IMO 3d fighters are so sluggish. The only semi-legit one is Tekken, and that game is a campfest and when you approach you're gonna get 0-deathed. Virtua Fighter is so slooooo. Lol SC4 and DOA; those games are for booby fapping.

Smash will never be in fighting game tournies. Right now there is a huge arguement on SRK on whether Smash is worthy of being accepted in the FG community, and it is impossible considering that Nintendo uses childish chars, akward play style, community division, game not intended to be competitive, and how the Back Room runs this whole site w/o considering the opinions of the entire community.

I'm sorry but Perfect doesn't exist. So the only Smash you have is here on SWF.

I don't like 3d fighters. If I had to play one it would be Tekken 1 or 2 since its on a 2d plane . How is Tekken a campfest though?

Maybe he mixed up camping and turtling.

All I know is that I don't enjoy 3D fighters that much. The whole premise and strategy for them is to do one combo that can juggle/ring out.

If you guys want a good 3D fighter play King of Fighters Maximum Impact Regulation A (KOF MIRA). It is all the awesomeness of a KOF with 3D rendered chars, and stages with the enhancable preset combos.

That I say is the best 3D fighter.

I agree. MvC2 doesn't need an HD Remix treatment. Plus, that would take forever.
And how would we feel if Capcom rebalanced the game. That includes nerfing some characters. I'd rather they buff low tier and not touch high tier.

As for HD Remixes, the first thing that comes to mind is Darkstalkers. That game needs it. Morrigan deserves a hi-res HD sprite.
