I played this at an arcade today. I got ***** by some guy playing Cable/Storm/Cyclops.
I think he got me in Cable Super about 3 times.
Combo > Super > jump > Super > DJ > Super
7x hits.

Yea if you tiger knee (d, df, f, uf ) his super it will "auto-cancel" and he can do it again up to 3 times. If you are using somebody who can't take a hit (Strider, Wolverine, Anarakis) then they will more than likely die from it. Its like skeet ****.

Tiger uppercut!

Is Dhalsim your favorite character? I have never met anyone who like Dhalsim too much, even though I though the was pretty cool, but not near my favorite (Chun Li, Ken, Ryu)

Props to Vulcan w/ the Slayer av

AHVB is the main reason Cable is part of the big 4.
W/O AHVB, Cable wouldn't be that big since he is lacking (greatly) the air game the other 3 possess. He can fight them, but only if he spams his assists (preferably AA's) and finds openings.

Question, why exactly is WM SO much lower on the tier list as IM? (besides the crappy proton cannon)

I like him on SF2 and MvC2 but he's not my favorite character on either. I just think he's freakin cool. Sagat and Sentinel are my favorites respectively.

You know, I used to hate how they kind of merged Low and Mid Punch/Kicks into one button when I first played this game. Now I'm really used to it so it feels strange playing the first MvC.

I remember being confused when I played TvC at Evo. The arcade cabinet had a 6 button layout and I didn't know the game consisted of 3 attacks and 1 assist.

Waiting for you to slip up.
My best Super Combo:

Captain Commando, The Hulk, and Jin.

First Cap's, who sends the foe flying with Captain Sword, then while they're in the air, Super Cancel to Gamma Crush, then once they're close to landing, Jin ends it with Blodia Punch.

Deals about 63% of the life bar to any character other than Juggernaut and Sentinel.

My Favorite has to be Morrigan/Thanos/Storm. Use Thanos capture assist and that is at least 70% of your life bar.

Soul Eraser xx Whatever Thanos Special (he has friggin 4 lol) xx Lightning Storm.

So pro lol.

Why a Dreamcast? Have they not released this game for any other consoles?
It's easier to get a hold of. Plus it's the best version out of the three. The Dreamcast has less loading times, no slowdown, more animation sprites, and clearer sprites.

Apparently Dreamcast has all of the best versions of games from the arcade. I, just like all of the melee players, could care less about graphics and what not (even though I'm not a melee player  ).

Guess what guys? MvC2 is confirmed to still be at EVO. Why do I state this?

It's the only game out of the entire lineup that says TBA for what console it's on. They're still hinting a port.

Ah makes sense. AKA any convention including Brawl with Marvel vs Capcom 2 and all the street fighter games. lol
No.

EVO is its own, definitive tournament. It's not just "any" convention; it is THE fighting game event in North America.

...

And Barlw? With Mahvel? No wai.

Hundreds upon hundreds from around the globe come to EVO every year. Japan and England are the two most immediate examples that spring to mind.

No better example.

They have to do DC Marvel again, everything else just isn't worth it (unless the XBLA version is acceptable). Though, it will lose a portion of its epicness.

I personally would love to see an SNK fighting game in the lineup, but the SNK community is so divided and there are too many games, and Dark Geese is the main person promoting SNK but not that well.

@Minato: You went to EVO too, geez if only I knew more people.

Oi, I just remembered what my old team was in MvC2. It was Iron Man/War Machine, Megaman, and Sentinel. I used to **** Abyss (or A ***** as I used to call him) with that team. I would completely wall him with their combined attacks. Sent's Drones, Big *** Megaman, and Iron Man's cannon>Abyss.

I remember losing to Abyss so many times when I first played MvC2. Now it's too easy.

I'm still hoping that MvC2 does get ported again. I already have a DC copy, but what I really want is a third MvC. If they do make one, there's no way the cast is going to be that big for awhile. I wonder what new characters would be in it and who would get cut out.
