Hi desert, Socal
Only SNK game I know of is the KoF series
The list is pretty extensive

It trippy that all the major Marvel heads are switching to SFIV. This might possibly be Marvel's last EVO, though nothing good enough can fill its spot.

I've personally given up on Marvel. I had my fun so now I'm moving on, its just that there is no fighting game that can compare to Marvel's speed.

The closest I say is GG, but the GG community is so widespread that nothing really happens. Also the fact that GG is over, and the Japanese pound us.

So should I just give up on trying to improve in marvel, and just play SFIV since I'll be on the same level as everybody else?

Honestly, I think Marvel is way too fun just to give up on. Once you find people to play, it's too hard to quit.

Whoa, watch your language, I didn't mean that.

What's is gonna happen is that EVO will start questioning dropping Marvel, but since no other game compares they'll have to keep it.
The Marvel community is less serious now. When Dark Prince challenged the entire Marvel community, that brang in some epicness. Now every1 is more quiet, less MM's, less hype.

The only reason Marvel heads are putting their focus on SF4 is because of hype, and it's showing that Capcom hasn't forgotten about. After SF4 gets old or some bonafide MvC3 info comes out they'll be back.

It has to die eventually, but only in hype.

I just left my playstation on overnight and while I was in class for 3 days straight to get all of the characters. I'm actually playing now to unlock all of the costumes.

w00t! I got my dreamcast and MvC2 today! My memory card even had all the characters unlocked, but I think I'm going to erase it and unlock the characters myself.
Really? You have a lot more patience than I do.

I've been playing this game a lot and I still haven't finished collecting all the alternate colors in the game. It's taking way too long. I was 50 percent done for colors on the PS2 version and also 50 percent for the DC.

And playing it on the DC looks nice. No more pixelated sprites.:)

Marvel is way too fun to give up when playing other people; that is, if you have people to play against. It will never die in my house. I only picked up Melee because I was surrounded by a lot more of local competition from them than say Marvel and would have to travel five hours to play Mixup. (He's a beast)

Hi desert, Socal
I'm still waiting for an XBLA or PSA release.
Paying $15 for MvC2 is more reasonable than buying a PS2 copy, or buying a DC (assuming it works) and the other necessities.

Oddly enough when MvC2 and the other games come out, I'll wait till I get a PS3 then get them.

Bump cause "Is Mahvel Baybee!"
Oh, he got the mango Sentinel!
Most of that commentary is from Sanford's friends/followers.

Also if your judging from the video Duc IS Godly. I've only beaten him once only bcuz I snapped out Spiral and killed Sentinel, though he possesses the best Cable in Marvel.

Dark Prince is good too, just talks too much s***.

I have marvel vs capcom 2 for ps2, but my ps2 cant read the blue discs, so I cant play it. :( I'm going to probably sell it, the freaking game goes for like $50-$80 used on the internet.

The slim PS2 can't read MvC2 for crap, fat one is fine though.

Put it up on ebay, ppl will occasionally bid $100+ for a copy.
Though I would like a DC copy (sold my PS2 copy ages ago, easy $95)

it IS the fat one. It just stopped reading blue discs a while ago. Sounds like the Ps2 is choking whenever I try a blus disc <_<

They say it has to do with how the eye can't read colored discs well. Same happened on the PSX with black discs.
Plus, blue and black disc games are often very easy to scratch, which is why they are somewhat discontinued.

I gave up mine because it worked occasionally, is not arcade perfect, and got scratched easily even though I got it professionally buffed twice (anymore than 2x you're gonna destroy the disc)

It's not worth it to buy and own a PS2 copy.

That explains why my PS2 likes destroying my PS1 games. I have to put the Disc Speed to fast if I'm playing them. Otherwise, they're scratched.

And I still can't believe I got MvC 1 and 2 for 20 bucks basically.

Speaking of MvC2, I'm probably going to try out some new teams with Strider today just for fun. The Clockw0rk team is good, but I want to put a little variety in there somewhere.

My Agetec stick for the Dreamcast is ruined.:(

I bought it used from this guy. It had a bunch of stickers on it. I was peeling them off and cleaning the top. I suppose some water got inside and now it's acting up. Stupid thing won't recognize button presses, and it's not consistent either.

No more Marvel for awhile I guess. I suppose I'll just by a PS2 arcade stick and use a converter...
I don't think there's an easy way fixing this.

Try sending it to a nearby stick specialist (assuming they are reliable)
If you're getting a hori one then get the HRAP2 or HFS2, T5 sux though it's the cheapest (trust me, I'm playing on one)
Or if you have $200+ get a custom stick and get ready to wait a month or more to get it.

Yeah, I'm going to try and buy a HRAP2 anyways. I don't have a stick for my PS2, so that'll be a good investment.

And I'll keep my Agetec stick for now until I find someone that can fix it. I hoping it's not the PCB that's ruined.

I like Storm better too for some reason. Dunno why she just feels more natural. I feel like a tier wh0re when I pick Magneto but could care less when I pick Storm, Cable, or my favorite character Sentinel.

Pimpin out chicks with my power rings
My disc has scratches on it, I need to fix it because I can't seem to play MvC2 now. I was able to earlier but now I can't for some reason. Either that or the Dreamcast is crapping out. Any suggestions on fixing this problem?

I'm loving my new team, Thanos/Sentinel/Psylocke AAA. So versatile.

Psylocke assist sets up for Soul XX HSF xx Rocket Punch loop. If I time it right I can get 100%

I'm screwed if I have no meter though, since Thanos is a super monger. It also sucks versus characters with a good keepaway game because their keepaway will usually be better than Sent assist spam, and Thanos needs to get in for combos.

Overall its a fun team to play I'd give it a 7.5/10

I swamped with games right now, but I'm going to head back to Marvel soon enough.

I'm going to try out some new teams again. I still want to find a new Strider/Tron group.
I think I said earlier that I was going to put Psylocke in there for fun. I'll see how that goes.

That's true.

I'm going to have to load up my PS2 version and mess around with some new teams.

Bleh I feel the opposite way. But I think I am a million times better at SF than I am at marvel, and I'm not the best at SF4 either lol.

Man I got into this game way to late aka 3 months ago, though for scrubbing people out I use gay strat of wall of pain, fun for me bad for you.

aka Spiral, Sentinal, Commando. Seriously hilarious team, here is my stratagy.

Call Sentinal Assist, jump summon swords, toss 3 on the way down toss 3 on the way up, sword summon toss 3 jump toss 3 repeat. :p, seriously this **** is so gay.

I like to do that one on using the dash heavy punch with commando because if they jump out the commando says to get back in their.

Yea that team was used by a famout west coast player iirc. Really trap heavy team.

I'm amazed that your execution is good enough for Spiral/Sent traps and you've been playing the same amount of time as me.

Ahh, I KNEW it was team Duc, but he uses Cable instead of Capcom. I think Capcom would be a better choice anyways because sent/capcom is too gay.
