PS is okay... not great for marth, but imo out of all the counterpicks it's the least gimmicky and most similar to the neutrals.

neutral transformation is great, the other transformations suck. :\

I really like the grass transformation, it's good for combos. At least for me.

Cause it's terrible. If each player ends up on the opposite side, there's only one way to approach the other player which is from above. That option is easily covered by both players.

Marth's sword can (as you probably know) reach through the tree, which further discourages players from getting too close to the divide.

IMO Marth isn't that amazing on PS. He has the 2 neutral plats to work with. Fsmash tippable. Fire transformation, nothing usually happends, people just stay put (If a serious match) Water transformation is good, he owns the windimill, owns the small platform with Utilt/whatever you want.
The higher platfrom is good for Uair/fair.
Mountain transfromation: You can keep dolphin slashing the ledge on the left. You can also hit through the wall towards the middle of the stage. Falco can get easy kills on ya during this transformation with shine.

Doesn't PS have a low ceiling and far horizontal edges? If so its kinda works against Marth since Marth is a horizontal/gimp killer. And not a Vertical killer. There just are better stages. I rather go this then DL64 though.

I don't really mind stadium at all. A higher ceiling would indeed be very welcomed though. As metal reeper said it's definitely better than dreamland at least. I actually think i'd rather go to PS than YS and FoD too, but that's probably just me. I know some marths just love YS.

Marth can't approach from directly above. All we have with downward priority from above is our down air which doesn't last long and has terrible lag. When the stage changes, it forces people to approach from above for example the tree, the cliff etc. This is the main reason why fox/falcos can still approach while marth as to wait. Space animals can more or less just go charging in with their dairs while marth will just try the same thing and get stuck in a hole and rack up needless damage.

Other than that if you camp during the bad transformations and use the platforms correctly its a fine stage. Downtilt also extends strangely far on the edge on some transformations.

On the mountain transformation if you go almost all the way to the edge on the right side. Don't go to the LEDGE go to the EDGE where the dirt ends and Dtilt. Your sword will poke out realllly far.

Shuffle uair Nair or fair then dash towards opponent *****!!! I love watching react then when I c opening bam!!! Right after dash I'm always doing something though cuz you don't want to just stand there and wait for them to react cuz that's lame. I usually start off in mid map cuz under plats start off way too obvious( my opponent shows me less opening in other words if I start off down there) then I'll go down there and dash dance fair mix up or run pass and space a bair setup or even run past em and sworddance usually only done if they drop up but those up b hurt if you pull em from the bag( randomly do this when your opponent least expects this.

When transformations start I just Nair mix up and pick my options . I really usually have my opponent down a stock or hurting so I love Nair IN YO FacE . When windmill comes out I try keep distance and ***** smashes then block right after that noone ever grabs me lol

I'm going to wager that marth's primary weakness is the distance of the platforms from the edge.

I think it depends on the style of the fox for that stage. Fox can get in a lot of lasers there. Which can help tremendously.

What are some cool baits while on plats or under plats at the start of the match? I'm usually not a passive Marth player but if I need to go random. I'll record some of yalls posts as some options. All I usually do that works is fh double fair onto plat then lcancel either dash off and Nair mix up u or go grab.(usually a spaced fair then grab)

Since i'm almost always player4 I usually start below the platform. I like to just buffer a roll towards the middle of the stage or dash there, but obviously you can't always just do that if the other player starts on the platform next to you (which my opponents usually do, I guess that's P1?).
It somewhat depends on what character you're up against too of course. My thought of just aiming for the middle of the stage comes from experience with always getting Dair'd by falcos that start on the platform next to me I think... So that's probably why I never go for any jumping up and Fairing at the beginning of a match ^x^

Baiting with Marth is hard because everyone knows your trying to do that. Fox and Falcon are just waiting for you to attack, to do anything so your in lag and they can run in and **** you.

Doesnt answer my question. Even if my opponents know I'm gonna do it, I Think If I pressure them the whole game, thell lest expect it or least react to it.

Playing against a good fox on PS is just bad news with current metagame. Ken ***** Chillin here because chillin was too aggressive. Campy with lasers and usmash/uair kills super early is just bad news for Marth. I would rather play DL over PS generally.

Again I think it depends on the style of the Fox. Jman uses a lot of lasers and DL would give him a lot of room to get lasers in.

But there are fox's like Lucky who are pretty aggressive.
On PS Fox does own Marth with Uthrow>Uair and can kill with Usmash around 80%?

But Marth also has them plats so idk man.

My idea is to just camp and stall during the transformations and wait until the neutral phase returns. Often times you get opponents who are willing to do the same. I think I would rather play PS with this strategy than Dreamland.

Tbh I don't think its really worth it to play marth on this stage.

Fox and Falco **** it pretty bad, sheik does well too. How well does jiggs do here vs marth?

This is where you have to have a secondary because you chose to play Marth.

or you could ban it, fight them on dreamland.
or man up and use what you can and beat their ***.

marth actually doesn't do too bad vs puff here, and the neutral plats screw sheiks shorthop.
