Marth Discussion Thread

...well my vote on this is no.

I'm sorry, I just can't see an alliance with Mario. Doesn't sit well with me. I'm not against having alliances, but idk about a Mario/Marth alliance...

Well, some of the alliances are to help us each other, like of someone (trolls) is insulting one of us the other helps, for example if someone says in one treat that marth is gay (pathetic), one of the mario clan will try to help telling the fact he has a wife. and if someone say Mario is gay (even more pathetic) some of us will try to stop the troll whit facts. also that means no wars between us and may some tourney, ideas and skills we could share.

And i do approve the alliance, because Mario at our side means very much help, also Marth and Mario start whit the 3 same letters and both are acuseds by ***ots of being gays.

Roy can get any girl he wants since he's so cool. Marth has to marry his half-sister.

Im about 50/50 on this Alliance thing, to tell the truth, Mario just.. isnt a very powerfull ally on Smashboards, From what I've seen.

On the other hand, an alliance is better than no alliance.

I'll have to think on this.


Edit: Alright. you've got my O.K. on it Okysho, I'd rather be allied with one of the Ike Clans, or a Lucario clan.. or maybe a Link clan. But, The more the merrier.

But you don't have to associate yourself "officially" with anybody to organize tourneys with people that aren't Marth mains...

Personally I think that though the Mario clan will come to our aid if need be, overall they're fairly neutral... I do agree with Superninjabreadman on the fact that we should have an alliance with a character that general fans respect more because they have more power because of the character they support and thus giving us a little boost on our way...

Alright, I understand. Here I was, trying so seriously to find a meaning to all this, when in fact all of these alliances things are just for fun... duh.

How about a "Wario-Mario-Marth alliance" then?

Wario-Marth sounds too much like Wal-Mart...

Apparently it represents the "life" of your opponent (and I must say it looks just like a life bar you'd find in Fire Emblem), and since Marth's critical hit kills in one hit the whole life bar gets depleted.

Ah! Excellent question!! Okysho would be happy to answer!! In Fire Emblem as you may know, it is a tactics RPG. When the battle animation begins and one opponent strikes another health goes down (like in any RPG... 0_o) The bar the depletes in Marth's final smash is supposed to represent the health of his opponent draining to 0 when his strike connects. MArth's final smash can actually K.O. at 0% so it makes sense for it to drain from full to empty when the strike hits.
Yup, to sum it up, it's the opponent's health bar from FE3 which depletes when you're pwned by Marth! ^_^

sadly yes, i mean there are some yaoists idiots who think kratosXzelos is cannon (hell they don't even speak between them in the entire game, you can only have one of the in your team at the same time and kratos has an wife (but dead) and a child) it isn't THAT impressive there are people enough idiotic to actually believe in an gay Mario.

BTW: i do perfectly know effeminate, bishonen(marth is one, and means petty boy, but have noting to do whit gay) and gay have totally deferents meanings. I only put examples of what some very lame people would say.

I don't know exactly how quiet that information is withing the Ike thread, also I'm not quite as big of a supporter of his character as I am with Marth (obviously since Marth is my all time favourite) however I have played both his games and have about a decent enough background as any whom might have beaten both. I suppose I could if I had the time, but I want to start filling out more ranks in the Defenders first, and maybe try organizing our first clan tournament.

who knows, it could happen... but I can't say I'm not afraid of what people's reactions would be...

and if ally ourselves with everyone, there wouldn't be any competitions or defending against those that threaten our clan members XD

Anyway, Deus De Animus seems really interested in being allies with us. They just need to hear from their leader. they want someone to represent our clan so whenever we have tournaments within our group or be challenge they can judge who are the better players to compete or something like that. It just ideas if we both agree to an alliance.

I dont mind Lucario, or Toon Link, but I really dont want to pair us up with underplayed chars. it'd be like being in an alliance with Dr. Mario.
