I dun think it works. I just spent like... 5 min trying, tho. But my technicals are pretty spot-on, soz I dunno.

EDIT: I got it to go a max of 1/4th FD, but all it really ended up being was a usmash outta dash. It's quick, buuut I dunno about practical. Personally, if someone's close enough for you to sidestep, I think you could try a buffered pivot grab and get better results.

There isn't much of a reason for Marth to use it unless you can DACUS his other smash attacks.

Still not going to be game breaking for him.

Air release at a certain distance from the ledge so that you shorten the distance of the DACUS.

DACUS.

Profit.

You can buffer if you're the one grab releasing right?

In theory, yes.

In practice, good luck.

The problem is that if you arent pummeling, the timing of the release is up to the opponents mashing. Normal buffering is alot easier because you can gauge the timing off of attack animations.

this only applies to characters that already have at least a decent DACUS.

for marth this is pointless

If someone can see about testing this to make it useful for marth, i expect some heads to turn. Would you be able to buffer it out of a reversed glide toss? Cause if you can... Theoretically of course...

Reverse glide toss -> fsmash -> new and improved Dacus upsmash

There's a possibility you could tipper twice in the space of a second, that would be ****ing ********.

*edit* Apparently Up+B landing anim can be used to buffer it, you could dolphin slash into an upsmash tipper... WTFFF BRAWL.

Grab release animation is 30 frames iirc, that's half a second time to react and buffer.

dude, there isn't enough hitstun to hit after fmsmash OR DS. plus both moves have way too much knockback. fair/dtilt -> usmash maybe.

Well im pretty sure theres not too much that could be done for Marth's Dacus although u might as well do some proper testing on the matter. It could be like Diddys in the fact that you have to be frame perfect in order for his dacus to go anywhere which is why the buffered Dacus is so elongated. Side note: ive done Grab-release>buffered true pivot Fsmash on MK. Is that legit?

Fsmash tipper frozen frames bro. If it works how I theorized, you would do the damage and before the launch would transfer into the dacus so you'd be able to double tipper them.

Fair / dtilt i'll look into though, as I suppose that's a little more feasible.
