Got knocked out of pools in the VSA tournament about two hours ago.

Pools was: Snake, Snake, Snake, Metaknight, Mario(Me).

Right off the bat I had to fight 2 Snakes and then Metaknight.

Story of my life.

There were around 80 people at the tournament. At least 85% were Snake or Metaknight. This made doubles incredibly boring to watch.

As a note, M2K and Ally were there too. Cool guys, but their matches were pretty boring too sadly.

Out of all the matches I only beat the Metaknight player once, the rest were either 1-stocked or barely 2-stocked, with the exception of Metaknight 3-stocking me last match (I got bored).

On a side-note though, I was incredibly good at friendlies, when everyone wasn't a Metaknight/Snake.

Hey guys, I just discovered a really obscure and mostly useless trick.

You guys probably already know that you can cancel the very very beginning frames of dash with F-smash, and this is useful for doing dashdance canceled F-smashes which have HUUUUUGE range.

Now the thing is, you can kinda do the same thing for D-smash...except I think it's a 1 frame window. You can only move backwards a tiny step anyway when you properly "dashdance cancel" into D-smash.

On the other hand, this also means you don't have to lightly tilt the control stick to do turnaround D-smash. You can just smash the opposite direction and press C stick down at the same time.

As I was saying, nothing really special, just saying you can do these things.

Also, Mario's D-tilt seems to only have IASA frames into itself or shield, and you will hear a noise as Mario stands up from crouch if you try to cancel into anything else (which takes a few frames apparently) but for some reason mashing grab sometimes triggers the IASA frames and cancels into a Jab.

Seems like it wasn't as fun as anticipated, were there any good Snake/MKs there?

Lol DashDanced canceled Dsmash. But only a 1 frame window? I'd rather mindgame my opponents with DashDanced Canceled Fsmash.

Reminds me of the time me and my partner got 0-2 in a tourney.. we normally get 2-2 minimum.

I'm usually Mario, of course, and he's usually Lucas.

First round we fought double Game and Watch where we got 0-2'd.

Second round we fought double Snakes, one being JonT... we did 1-2.

Was depressing :[

Besides M2K and Ally, there was RedHalberd, Lee Martin, Razor, and others.

In other news, Shakey, a Ness player, got 13th place in the tourney and used Ness all the way through.

Stuff like that gives plenty of inspiration for me to go to more tournies.

Well, considering how my parents think you're all rapists...

We'd have to meet at a public place, like a mall. Not particularly for a smashfest but just to meet and talk. After that I'd be able to go to any smashfest without worry.

Unless you really ARE rapists.
